The Drive Motor is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This motor powers the drum's rotation during both the wash and spin cycles. It ensures that the drum agitates and spins correctly, allowing for effective cleaning and rinsing of laundry.

Over time, the drive motor can fail due to regular wear and tear, electrical issues, or overloading the washing machine.

Symptoms of a bad drive motor include:

  • The drum not spinning or agitating
  • Unusual noises or humming sounds during operation
  • The washing machine stopping mid-cycle
  • Burning smells coming from the motor area

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Hello Kenny. Check and make sure the door lock assembly 131763256 is working properly on the unit. If not, it will prevent the washer from working properly. Also, if there is power coming to the motor, and the motor does not turn, you will need to replace the motor 137043000. Hope this helps.

Keri for Model Number ATF7000FG0

We have an error code of E56, there is absolutely no movement during the cycle and water does not come out or drain, the time just clicks away very slowly and the cycle never finishes, it will remain on 1 min till I press cancel. We did the diagnostic test recommended in the manual including the ohms test on the pins on the motor which resulted in fluctuating numbers anywhere from 4 13. We also unplugged and and then plugged back in the electrical plugs on the door latch. This did not help. The manual recommends a new motor. I wanted to double check before purchasing a new motor! Thanks for the help!

Thomas S. for Model Number FRIGIDAIRE GLTF2940ES0 Frigidaire/washer

FRIGIDAIRE GLTF2940ES0 Frigidaire/washer - No High Speed Spin During wash cycle my wash machine motor agitates the tub slowly, but when it enters the drain/spin cycle it drains the water but never goes into high spin. It completes the cycle but the clothes are still soaking wet! What would prevent the machine from entering the spin cycle altough it still agitates? Possibly the motor or the door switch? Please help!

Hello Thomas. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the door lock assembly 131763256 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. If it does not sense the door lock, the unit will not spin, just tumble in the unit. Hope this helps.
