D December 16, 2014 for Model Number FES388WGCI How do I remove the front face to access removing the control panel? I have removed screws from underside, seems to be held at top lip?? Thanks
1 Answer Hello D. This shouldn't be too difficult. You should be aware that the power needs to be turned off to the unit before starting. In this configuration, it is very easy to hit a hot wire on ground in this process. The screws should be lined up across the bottom of the control panel and the door will have to be opened to access them. They screw in straight up. There may be a couple of screws on each end and the control panel sometimes just hooks into position, depending on the configuration. The manufacturer does not offer specific instructions for this model number. Read More...

Lulu February 12, 2014 for Model Number 790.46352400 The oven window has streaks that cannot be removed from the outside glass surface cleaning or from the inside glass cleaning it appears to be inside the panes. What would I need to do to clean and reassemble or repair and reassemble to get at that area to clean?
1 Answer Lulu, you'll need to remove the door and disassemble it to access the inner glass panels. You can use glass cleaner or warm water and soap to clean the glass. you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If your door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door assembly. Once you have cleaned the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Hope this helps you, thanks. Read More...
