Bob F February 23, 2017 for Model Number 587-15203801 All the codes are blinking. I can't cancel or reboot it. I have turned off the power twice thinking that that would restart it - nope - it just blinks. When the door is closed it sounds like it wants to wash but it just makes a low rotoring noise ?? I called sears but to have it looked at and fixed would cost as much as I paid for it. Please help.
1 Answer Bob, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board which would be part number 5304514670. Read More...
Brian January 31, 2017 for Model Number Fridgidaire Professional Series Dishwasher Greetings, The left side buttons (wash cycle: Ultimate Scrub, Speed Clean, Normal Wash, etc) of my touch panel are responding as normal. The right side buttons do not respond at all. This includes wash pressure, wash temperature, delay start, and start/cancel. So, bottom line, we can't get our dishwasher to start. The condition has happened a couple times last week but resolved itself mysteriously. Now the condition has returned and seems to be here for good. Do you believe the Touchpad Console Assembly/Ribbon Cable to be the culprit or might this be a Control Board failure?
Marc March 26, 2016 for Model Number pld4375rfc3 The dishwasher appears completely dark and won't respond to buttons unless you press and hold the button for a longish time (30 seconds). At that point things light up but then go dark again if you close the door to start a cycle (not that I would try a cycle with things in this condition). I'm thinking button assembly. Does that sound right to you?
1 Answer Marc, Yes we agree with you, the problem is most likely a failed circuit in the keypad assembly 154639207. You may want to try this first, Access the control board, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board. Use a clean rag and rubbing alcohol or contact cleaner and clean the end of the ribbon and the contact pins inside the control board connector. Allow the solution to evaporate, reattach everything, reverse the procedure and check the dishwasher for operation, if the problem persists, replace the console assembly. Read More...
Tina November 25, 2015 for Model Number PLD4375RFC3 Replaced control board last January because dishwasher continuing to cycle after finished. Now, no settings will light up except eco wash and top rack. However, although they light up, the start button does not start anything. This seems to be the control panel and not the control board that is still under warranty? :) Thanks for your help!
Brian August 16, 2015 for Model Number FPHD2491KF0 THE BUTTONS FOR SELECTING WITCH TYPE OF WASH YOU WOULD LIKE TO RUN DO NOT LIGHT UP WHEN PRESSED. ALSO THE START/CANCEL BOTTON DOES NOT WORK. THE ONLY WAY WE CAN RUN THE DISHWASHER IS BY PRESSING THE DELAY/START BUTTON AND A RANDOM CYCLE STARTS. ANY THOUGHTS WITCH PART I NEED TO REPLACE? ONE OTHER PROBLEM IS OUR SOAP DISPENSING DOOR OPENS ABOUT 50% OF THE TIME. ANY THOUGHTS ON WITCH PART IN NEED TO REPLACE? THANKS FOR YOU HELP
1 Answer Brian, The most likely issue is a problem in the key pad circuits (so you're on target). But we show a different part number for the console/key pad assembly 5304475578 / 5304475578 for the model number you supplied [FPHD2491KF0]. Please recheck and verify the model number on the tag of the dishwasher before you order the part. Thanks Read More...
Bob May 29, 2015 for Model Number FDBB4365FC1 I can select a wash opiton and it lights up, but nothing happens when pushing the start button. The option selected will stay lit for a short time, then goes blank. Same issue a two years ago when we replaced the control panel part no 154639207. Does control panel need replacing again? Is this a defect? Is part warrantied?
1 Answer Hello Bob. Try cleaning the ribbon cable. If the issue continues, you will need to replace the console on the unit. As for the warranty, it had 1 year on it. So that would be expired. Thank you. Read More...
Nicki April 07, 2015 for Model Number PLD4375RFC0 I get an ER code flashing sometimes at the end when the cycle is to begin drying and now it will not complete even a wash cycle without RE code popping up and stopping it. What part do I need to fix the problem?
1 Answer Nicki, We do not show a ER/RE error code associated with the unit but if this issue is occurring during the heating cycle then you will want to test the heating circuit to make sure that all components are good. Do a continuity test on the heater and thermostat and if there is no continuity then that part is bad. Also test to make sure that there is 120 vac going to the heating element from the control board. If there is then test at the heater to make sure that it is getting the 120 vac. If not then the wire harness is faulty. If there is no power going from the control board to the heating element then the control board is defective and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Jose February 20, 2015 for Model Number Frigidaire 4300 Series Dishwasher My dishwasher will not power up at all (nothing lights up). I looked at the service sheet and it said I needed to replace the Console Assembly. Will that truly fix it, or could there be some other underlying issue. I'm hesitant to purchase the Console Assembly if that might not be the problem.
1 Answer Hello Jose. If nothing is lighting up, and there is power coming to the control board, you will need to order and replace the control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Lisa B December 07, 2014 for Model Number FDB4315LFS0 I go to turn on my dish washer and only certain cycles will light up but it wont turn on when i hit the st art/cancel button I replaced the control panel board about 2-3 yrs ago so im not sure if its the control board or the panel that displays the wash options.
Mark M October 21, 2014 for Model Number Frigidaire PLD4375RFCO dishwasher Would not fill with water. Display screen said "washing" and "Er". Note the display is difficult to read since not all lines on display light up. None of the lights keypads seem to respond or illuminate. Error would not reset if power was turned off. If door was shut and power was on the same error would always appear. Note I could also hear a motor running. I replaced the control card. Note the old and new control card mounting holes did not line up with the pushbutton assembly mounting holes so I think the control card had been replaced before and the part revision had changed and no longer matches the pushbutton assembly. Upon replacing the control card and powering up, i got the PF display. None of the pushbuttons would illuminate. The code changed when I tried to do a wash but I could not read it. The wash would not start and eventually the old error message display "washing" "Er" returned. Do you think its the keypad assembly that needs replaced?
1 Answer Mark, The ER error code is a keypad error and the control panel on the unit would need to be replaced. The Console for your unit would be part number 154639207. Read More...
