Vic August 03, 2011 for Model Number ap2114982 This part start it smoking&flaming up we disconeted the fridge, is this part easy to fix?and how.....
1 Answer Vic, The overload/start relay is an easy repair and replacement in most cases, remove the lower compartment cover on the back of the refrigerator, and unplug the ower cord. Press on and release the retainer spring holding the relay cover on the side of the compressor, grasp and pull stright out on the relay overload and capacitor assembly. Check the 3 pins on the compressor to insure no damage occurred to the compressor. Check and switch one wire at a time from the original part to the new part. and reverse the removal procedure and check for opration. Thanks. Read More...

Tim March 06, 2011 Hi. My refrigator is running, but it is only cool and wont get real cold. Do I need this part? The freezer section is fine but the refrigerator compartment is not getting cold enough. The front controls are not helping as there turned to maximum cold settings. Any ideas? My model is ..frt20ngcwa. Thanks for any help! Tim
1 Answer Hello Tim. Check and see if you have a defrost problem, and if the fan motor in the freezer is running. Both of these can lead to warmer temperaturs in the refrigerator. Hope this helps. Read More...
