Jack October 24, 2012 for Model Number FWT 449GFS0 My door lock failed Part #131269400. I've found replacement lock Part #1311763202. My problem is that the old door lock has all together 6 wires while the new one has 8 terminals. I would like to know how the old wiring should be connected to the new style door lock?
1 Answer Hello Jack, The door lock mechanism has been re-designed to correct some issues the manufacturer was having with the old ones. Basically it goes like this: Frigidaire Front Load Washer New Door Lock Wiring Instructions With the wax motor, (reddish colored device), to the top. Starting top-to-bottom. The two wires that go on the wax motor will be the red, and white on the other side (which side doesn't matter). Now, the next two terminals down are open, (not used). The next one down is black, (third away from the wax motor). The bottom of the four grouped together will be white. The top of the last two will be blue with a white stripe. The bottom one will be black with a red trace. Read More...

Jody January 09, 2012 I have a Frigidaire Gallery Washer. The component that locks the door to the washer (not the hinge...the opposite side) has snapped into 2 pieces. In other words, we now have to tape the door closed so the washer will turn on and stay on. Is this the correct replacement part? Thanks!
