Robert January 27, 2016 for Model Number 790.9421440D The 2 switches on the right side for the burners are off but the "element on light" is still on. I turned off the breaker and then turned in on, the element light is still on. Help! Thanks, Robert

Harold May 10, 2013 for Model Number 86874800 Timer switch works but when time to turn off the alarm does not go off. Dryer stops working still, but the heat coil does not shut off and keeps putting out heat. Would it be a bad timer or what?
1 Answer Hello Harold. If the heat continues with the dryer off, it is not the timer. Most likely, the heater is touching metal and is grounded and staying on. If this is the case, you will need to replace the heater on the unit. Read More...
B Robertson September 29, 2011 for Model Number PLEFMZ99ECF My oven is conventional/convection. When I set the temp it runs 100 degrees too hot. It started all at once. Help!
1 Answer Hello. B. Based on the information you provided it sounds like the temperature sensor 316490001 may be bad. It should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature and 1650 ohms at 350°. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
