This water level pressure switch senses tub water level through an air hose and signals the control when to stop filling and allow spin. Replacing a failed switch restores proper fill levels and reliable cycle progression. What it does:

  • Monitors water level via air pressure from the tub's air dome hose
  • Signals the control to start/stop filling at the correct level
  • Prevents overfilling and enables spin only when the tub is empty
  • Common symptoms: overfills or underfills, won't fill, keeps filling, won't advance or won't spin
What's included:
  • Pressure switch
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and water supply before servicing
  • Access the switch (typically under the top or rear panel) and release its mounting clip/screws
  • Transfer wires one at a time; move the air hose to the new switch and ensure a tight, unobstructed connection
  • Secure the switch and run a test fill/spin; inspect the air hose for kinks, cracks, or soap residue

Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Water Level Pressure Switch (Washer) (Part Number: OEM12896655)

Jason for Model Number efls527uiw

I have a E11 code. Went into diagnostic mode, and all solenoids turn on and reach the correct volume of 140cm. I was able to blow air down the pressure switch air line so It is not clogged. But when i try to run a normal cycle, No water is pumped in. Does the pressure switch not work during diagnostic mode? it filled to the correct level in the manufactures notes. It is a fairly new model, manufacture date 2019. Do you think its the pressure switch or the controller board? Thanks!

Jason, Based on the information provided the E-11 code means the washer took too long to fill. It could be one of three problems, either the machine isn’t filling with water, or won’t fill with enough water or it has a draining issue. The following things could cause the error... The water tap is closed. Your water pressure is too low. The drain hose isn’t in the correct position or isn’t at the correct height. The inlet hose valve filter is dirty. The drain pump and filter need cleaning. The drain is blocked. The air tube is kinked. You used too much detergent. The pressure sensor is defective. The inlet valve is defective

Hello Raymond, this type of pressure switch is electronic (analog) it is powered and read (varying voltage output) by the control board, there is no practical way to test it.

Hello Raymond, the code refers to the control board seeing a fault in the water level pressure switch, since it does not know if all the tub water has drained completely this can affect the spin cycle. The switch is part 134762010, you should first check the drain pump is working, and the airline tubing from the tub to switch is not restricted.

Hello Raymond, The unit will not go into the high-speed spin if it does not drain the water out completely. You will need to check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris. Also, check the hose from the tub to the pump and the hose from the pump to the standpipe. If nothing is found in the pump area or hoses, the pump 137240800 will need to be replaced.

Hello Tod, you'll want to check the pressure tube for any obstructions as well as any kinks. If that looks good you'll want to check the screens on the water valve for any debris. Hope these tips help you locate the issue!

Birgit, Showing a code of E00 would be an erroneous code and would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board.

Hello White, One wire is voltage, and the other wire goes to the water valve. When the switch is satisfied, the voltage is sent to the motor through the third wire. In other words, the switch completes through one set of contacts while the other set is open. When the switch is satisfied and opens, the other set closes. Both will never be opened at the same time.
