The Rocker Switch is an OEM part for Frigidaire ranges and ovens. It is responsible for turning the interior oven light on and off. The light switch allows visibility of the oven cavity for viewing food during the cooking process.

Causes can include normal wear and tear over time, exposure to heat inside the oven cavity, or accidental damage.

Symptoms of a bad oven light rocker switch include:

  • The oven light failing to illuminate when the door is opened
  • The light remaining on even when the door is closed
  • An inconsistent or flickering oven light
  • The switch itself becoming loose, cracked, or non-responsive

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

For Frigidaire Switch Rocker (Part Number: OEM21041166)

Junior, the light switch 5304527841 would need to be tested for continuity. When it is in the off position, the switch should not read any continuity and if it does, then it has failed. The door switch 316445501 would be tested for continuity as well and should read continuity when not pressed in, and no continuity when it is pressed in.

TJ, With the relays clicking on the board but the bottom element not coming on it would be recommended to remove one wire from the bake element and turn the oven to bake and test the wire that you just disconnected for 120 vac. Then test the element terminal with the wire disconnected for 120 vac. Then you will want to follow the wires back to its origin if on the side that there is not 120 vac if there is one without power on it. More than likely this will be a control board issue.

John, This unit does not have a thermal fuse on it and you will want to check voltage to the element. Disconnect one wire from the bake element and put the oven on for bake. Make sure that the loose wire does not touch metal. Test from the loose wire to ground and there should be 120 vac with the unit turned onto bake. If there is 120 vac then go to the terminal that the wire was removed from and do the same test. If there is not 120 vac at either of these connections you will want to trace back to the source of where the wire comes from. Most likely since all other components are working then it will be the control causing the issue.

Shirley, If the 8 in. left front burner element is working but not heating properly, check and make sure the burner element 5308011964 is inserted and seated properly in the receptacle, and is making good contact inside the assembly. If all's OK there, then consider the burner infinite control switch 316436001.
