Kirk December 10, 2020 for Model Number FFHS2611PF7 The freezer side is at a good temperature. There is no ice build-up on the evaporator and the evaporator fan is running well. The refrigerator side is warm and the HI code on is the display. Is the issue a thermistor or board?
1 Answer Hello Kirk, The "HI" indicates the temperature in the fresh food compartment is above 55°F. This can be caused by a thermistor or an airflow issue which could also be caused by the air damper. Check the damper for any frost build-up which would cause by an air leak. Also, the air damper should be checked for any issues in the service mode as per the tech sheet. Read More...

Deb July 02, 2019 for Model Number FFHS2611LWB Refrigerator is freezing everything no matter what setting - could it be the control board?
1 Answer Deb, You have a damper on the top left side of the refrigerator section that opens and closes depending on the temperature of the unit. It sounds like this door is staying open allowing the freezer air in constantly freezing items. This damper operates off of a thermistor that reads temps in the refrigerator and tells the control to open or shut the damper door. So we have 2 possibilities, thermistor or damper. Well you can check thermistor for a resistance reading of 27k ohms at 38 degrees and can be found in the control area of the refrigerator.242278801 If that tests correct then you will need to order the damper 242303001 Read More...
