Don December 18, 2012 for Model Number LTF2940FE1 I have a front loader frigidaire washer. Started having problems with it putting to much water in the tub. Had to cancel its operation and select the spin/drain to get rid of water. I suspect the valve solenoids are not working?
1 Answer Hello Don. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by pressing cancel or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...
Don December 17, 2012 for Model Number LTF2940FE1 I have a front loader. The washer will run but water will not stop coming in the tub. Is the valve assembly bad?
1 Answer Hello Don, You need to try this test. Turn the machine and water on. While the unit is filling with water, unplug it. If the water continues to fill the machine, the water valve 134371220 has failed. If the water stops, the unit has an issue where the valve is being sent voltage when it shouldn't be such as a bad pressure switch. Read More...
Richard W December 12, 2012 for Model Number 417.44092500 Washer quit in middle of cycle. would not spin or drain. Cleaned out discharge hoses, checked pump, not clogged, plugged back up and worked on drain spin cycle. Put load of clothes in but will not start. Digital display shows minutes and can hear clicking and switching, but nothing happens. time goes down one minute. can pause, open door, etc. but will not start, add water nothing.
1 Answer Richard, Are you sure the door lock 131763256 assembly is latching and the switch is sending the information up to the control board ? The control has to see that the door is closed and locked before it will operate. You should find the wiring diagram and tech data sheet, attached to the left side panel interior wall, you can conduct the tests listed to verify what components do or don't work properly. Brent J November 24, 2012 for Model Number ATF7000FG1 My washer keeps pausing during the wash cycle, its does it about every 2 minutes. I cleaned the filter and started it again and it did the same thing and I switched it with to just the hot side and try to start it again and still didn't work. Now I can not get any water in the washer when I start it, the tub just turns. I also get a E11 error code. Is this the correct part or would it be something else.
1 Answer Hello Brent, If you cleaned the water valve screens and the unit is still giving an error code E11, which means long fill then you would also want to check to make sure that you are getting adequate water supply. If there is adequate water supply to unit then you want to replace the valve [AP2844429]. Read More...

Exocet March 10, 2012 for Model Number ATF6000ES1 My Affinity washer has stopped dispensing fabric softener. I've cleaned out the dispenser tray and the water holes in the top of the dispenser. No luck. I put the washer into the diagnostic mode and get water for the detergent and bleach, but very little for the softener (just a slow drip at best). Am I looking at a new water valve assembly or dispenser assembly?
1 Answer Hello Exocet. It appears from the wiring diagram that this unit has a separate valve for the softener dispense. It is either stopping up or it isn't opening fully. If you have removed the dispense drawer and did not see any obstructions in or around the holes above the softener area, it is probably the water valve at fault. Have a great day! Read More...

Frank May 15, 2011 for Model Number ATF6000FS1 How do I get at the water valve, which leaks onto floor when water is turned on. I am assuming I have to remove the top of the washer in order to get at the valve - if so, please advise on how to remove (I have removed the two screws on the back, that appear to hold it down at the back. Unit was purchased Aug 13, 2008 - so is out of warrantee, and is on an island - so it would be best if I could replace the part myself.
1 Answer Hello Frank. Remove the screws in the back and slide the top of the washer toward the back. Then lift the top off. You can access the valve from there. Hope this helps. Read More...
