This is an ice chute and funnel assembly for refrigerators with ice dispensers on their doors. The chute opens upon the user's command input and releases ice into a glass or other container placed underneath it. With use, because of misuse, or as a result of accidental damage, part or all of the ice chute door and funnel may malfunction or fail entirely. When this happens, a replacement part is required to continue using the ice dispensing feature. If the ice chute no longer dispenses ice, or if it is dispensing too much or too little ice, it's a good indication that there is something wrong with this part of the appliance. It's a quick repair. It is always recommended to unplug the device before beginning the replacement. Move any food that could spoil while the repair is being completed. This refrigerator ice dispenser ice chute door and funnel assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual unit and made of durable materials. The replacement part is compatible with several models of refrigerators manufactured by General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA.
