Charlie October 05, 2018 for Model Number PFSS6PKXBSS The ice chute on my GE refrigerator was hanging open, so I purchased a replacement ice router (part GE WR13X10737). When I removed the existing part I noticed that the problem was due to a broken spring that holds the ice flapper closed when not in use. Where can I find a replacement spring for this part so that I don't have to replace the entire $135+ part?
1 Answer Charlie, That spring comes in an assembly WR13X10737 and no parts are offered individually. Read More...
Rick October 04, 2017 for Model Number GE Profile PFSS9PKY To remove the display and then replace the ice chute assembly, do I remove the screw underneath and then insert a screwdriver in the rectangular slot that is found to the right of the screw. Question...do I pull straight out or to the left or right.??
1 Answer Hello Rick. Remove the one screw and pull out on the bottom of the display. It will slip out into your hand. Be sure the power has been turned off to the unit before removing the display assembly to prevent electrical shock. You will now be able to see the retaining screws for the ice route case assembly.
