With the power cord unplugged, the keypad WB27X1058 ribbon will need to be accessed and tested from pin 6 to pin 13 for continuity. When the start button is pressed, there should be continuity, and no continuity if the button is not pressed. If the keypad tests properly, then the main control WB27X10575 has failed. Unfortunately, if either part has failed, the manufacturer has discontinued these parts and they are no longer available.

Anu, No, we would not recommend you use the microwave while the outer "front panel is broken" . Though highly unlikely, it is possible for the radio waves to escape the interior cavity and affect someone in the area when in a cooking mode.
