David October 10, 2022 for Model Number gtd75gcsl0ws My dryer turns on. Can’t tell if there is any heat. However, when I hit ‘start,’ nothing happens. Is there a belt in the front? Seems as though there is a felt band that looks to be snapped. Would this be the belt?
1 Answer Hello David, the drum drive belt is located toward the mid/rear of the outside of the drum, if it has broken it will open a a switch that will cut power to the motor. The felt band seals the front of the drum for proper airflow. Read More...

Mario December 28, 2021 I pushed the start button heard the motor start but would not stay running went off when I let go . thought it was the switch replaced and still the same problem then I noticed the belt had broken, would that cause the motor not to run or is there another problem
