Larry December 27, 2022 for Model Number JV635HICC Both of the motors of our range hood is not working. One just stopped and the other is making a loud squick. I don't see the part number of the motor in order to get a new one. It looks like it is an assembly number that is showing in the motor itself. I like to order two motors for my range hood, but it is too expensive. Can you guys give me credit for the old ones so that i can buy two? Thanks and let me know.
1 Answer Larry, Unfortunately, we do not do trade-ins on parts. Once these parts have failed we do not refurbish and we only sell OEM parts. Read More...

Bill B. June 16, 2016 for Model Number JV666H1SS Motor makes an intermittant high pitched squeal when turned on. Not sure if it needs replacement but am having difficulty in removing assembly. I've removed the 3 screws at the base of the assembly but unit seems to be firmly in place. How do you remove fan assembly? Thanks, Bill B.
1 Answer Bill, It's a little more involved " Models JV635 JV665 JV636 JV666: TO REMOVE MOTOR 1. Remove filters 2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen 2 screws and remove silverstone panel from hood. 3. To remove blower wheel: • Using flat blade screwdriver, remove spring clamp from wheel. • Pull off blower wheel. 4. Disconnect the Molex connector 5. Use socket to remove the 3 nuts and washers that suspend metal plate inside hood. This allows the motor and plate to be removed. Note: Make sure that washers are retained for installation of the replacement motor. 6. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove 4 screws that attach motor to the triangular plate. Reverse the procedure to install the replacement motor. Note: Check to make sure that tab on blower wheel is engaged properly in motor groove, and spring clamp is hooked under blower wheel ears and firmly clinched together. Squeeze ring firmly to ensure proper fit. Important: Make certain that the 3 nuts and washers removed in Step 5 are replaced in the same orientation when installing the replacement motor."
