Angel H B October 16, 2014 for Model Number PIG23MIMHFKB and WR55X10556 I want to replace the main control board on a GE fridge model PIG23MIMHFKB. Control Board is WR55X10556, the one needed for my refrigerator model. It has an additional pin connector that the replaced board so I have 6 connectors from the refrigerator but 7 pin connectors in the board. It seems a newer model of the board. What happen if I connect the 6 and I let the other free?
1 Answer Angel, The design of the new control board will have extra pin connectors on it. You will not need to use all of the connectors in most cases. Just make sure that when you connect the harnesses to the board that you match them based on how many pins the connector has that you are plugging in and the control board connection are the same.
