James F. August 14, 2012 for Model Number tfx20rjb I just received the part and it will not make it into my Icemaker area. The bucket is ok, however there is a rod that comes from front to back and sticks out about 3 inches. It looks like it controls the ice flap so that the ice can drop into a glass. Am I supposed to drill a hole in the back? I have been ensured that this is the correct part from the team here, but they cannot explain why the old version has no rod running thru it. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim F.
1 Answer Hello James, The rod is for a model that has the crushed or cube options. If your unit has no hole for the rod to go into, your model will only dispense cubes. In order to make this work, you can either take the ice bin apart and remove the rod and the diverter, or you can bend or cut the rod so it isn't in the way. The problem with this is simply that if the rod isn't actuated, you will always get crushed ice when dispensed. You see, the rod is a shift mechanism which raises the deflector. If the deflector isn't raised, the cubes are forced into the crusher blades. If the deflector is raised, the cubes will simply dispense around the blades without being crushed. Read More...

Alan July 01, 2011 for Model Number RCA MSX22DME Thanks for the quick response. You state that AP2066344 is the right part. Its reference models doesn't list my MSX22DME, it does have a number of MSX24's. To be sure I take that the reference list is only partial? I also asked on the helix length, I see by the figure at your website it looks to be about 7 1/2 ", is that right?
1 Answer Hello Alan! The bucket and auger WR17X4310 is the correct replacement assembly for your RCA model MSX22DME. Our parts model list may not reflect all the updated assemblies as this is a new replacement for several different models. We do not have the direct measurements listed for the auger used in this kit, however, from our picture it seems to be approx 7 1/2". Thanks! Read More...
