R M February 08, 2012 for Model Number GV301411K You replied that I need to remove the metal wrap around the microwave. I have that about 85% done but once that has been removed how do I change the lamp? Do I need to life the microwave out of the wall area? I just received from you a replacement lamp. Just looking at the microwave without the metal wrap still seems to be no place to install the new lamp. Thanks
1 Answer RM, In general, You will need to dismount the microwave from the wall above the range. Remove the outer cabinet(wrapper) by removing the screws around the back wall of the cabinet and the side panels in (some cases). Once you slide the cabinet back and off the frame, you should see the cavity light and socket attached to the cavity or air tunnel. A proper model number would be a great help, Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
