Bobby, You will want to test to see if there is 12 vdc to the dispenser control board. If there is then the display board is bad and if not then the main control board will be the issue. Also check to make sure that there is 120 vac at the start relay and if there is not the control board will be the issue.

Hello Phillip. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the main board WR55X10942C is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Thanks.

Matt for Model Number GSCS3PGXGFSS

Purchased home in 2014 with new GE side by side fridge model GSCS3PGXGFSS SERIAL IS LA 403850. It cools fine in the freezer and fridge however, the display where you dispense water and ice is acting weird after a power outage. When you press the lever for ice or water it flashes the temp and does not dispense water or ice. Tried unplugging it and same issue. Also tried resetting the display by setting it off by raising the temp, then hitting cool to reset to factory default, still flashes temp and does not give water or ice.

Luis, Unfortunately there is really no way to test this control board other than power into the board and power out. If the board will not switch between selections or the dispenser is completely dead of there than the lights being on then this board will likely be the issue with the unit.

Hello Dan. You will need to read the instruction sheet on the unit and see if the steps were followed properly on replacing the board. Be sure and focus on step number 2 of the instruction sheet.

Tammi, You will want to pull the kick plate off the unit and disconnect the tubing at the bottom of the door. Once you do this make sure that the dispenser is set to water. Push the lever and see if water comes from the tube that is coming from under the unit. If it does then the water line in the door is frozen. If the line is frozen then the only correction to this would be to replace the freezer door.

Hello Michael, You need to pour the ice into a bowl and clean all of the ice particles in the bottom of it at least twice a year, depending on how much it is used. The more it is used, the more often you need to perform this action as per the manufacturer. This allows the mechanism to properly switch from cubed to crushed and back. The water tube in the door is most likely freezing up causing the water dispense issue. This can normally be corrected by installing the water tube heater WR49X10173 in the dispenser.
