This part is intended to replace the control board assembly on GE and other various brands of washers. The control board and washer assembly consist of the circuit board that controls the main functions and the dials that toggle those functions. The washer's control board acts as the central mainframe to the appliance. All main functions originate from the control board and allow the user to toggle between all the main settings. If a washer begins to lose some or all of the main functions, it's typically a sign of a control board issue. When the control board fails completely, the washer will cease all operations, and the board will need to be replaced. Beginning at the central control area, remove the faceplate or label area of the controls. It may be necessary to remove the trim before this is possible. Using a screwdriver, remove any anchor screws from the perimeter area of the control assembly. The circuit board will be directly on the rear face of the control assembly and is connected to a wiring harness. Remove the wiring harness and connect the new component. Place the assembly back into its intended housing but do not anchor it with screws until it's been tested to work properly. This part is compatible with GE and Kenmore appliances. It is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from General Electric.

Derek for Model Number whdvh626fww

Ok this is a front load GE, the problem is every time you try to operate a load there's a problem push buttons on the power, the load size and the temp. Once it does start to fill up it seems to be ok, but after awhile it goes back and forth maybe 5 times when you think it's washing. Then it stops and begin filling up again, sometimes it just stops and the door will unlock. Tried putting it in rinse & spin but the clothes still come out soaked. Is there a code to reset this from happening or what needs replacing? Help...Thanks.

Derek, There is no code to reset the unit and it sounds like the main control board is faulty and would need to be replaced. The part number for the control board is WH12X10355.

Phillip, This issue would most likely be caused by a user interface issue or a bad door lock assembly. You will want to access the tech sheet inside the unit and try to put the unit into diagnostic mode. If the unit will not go into diagnostics then the user interface will be the issue.

Hello Dennis, You should use the service mode on this unit to pull any fault codes. Note that the t01, t02, t03, etc, indicates the sequence of the test you are performing and is not a test result. Also note the fault codes only provides the circuit where there is an issue. As an example, a pump failure can be the pump, the harness, or the control since all are in a common circuit. The service mode is fully explained in the tech sheet normally located in a resealable plastic bag adhered to the inside of the service panel below the door.

Phillip, You will want to access the tech sheet inside the unit and run a diagnostic cycle to see if there are any stored error codes. This sounds like it could be a door latch assembly issue but error codes will tell you what the issue is.
