This component is a control board for ranges. This is the part that controls and monitors the temperature and heat in the oven. It features a digital display. If the buttons stop working on the oven, it's likely that the control board has gone bad. Sometimes the oven will shut off during cooking, which can also be a sign that the control board needs to be replaced. Some users also report problems with the display lighting itself, which may become very dim. Allow the oven ample time to cool down prior to attempting to replace this part, and disconnect the oven from its power source before beginning. The control board is compatible with ranges that are manufactured by the GE brand. It is sold individually and it is sourced straight from the manufacturer. It's a high-quality replacement part.
