Scott July 06, 2016 for Model Number ZISS360NXBSS Our fridge made a slightly muted noise yesterday and after that the fridge part of our side by side continued to get colder and colder freezing our produce. Had a guy come out and take a look this morning. He said the damper was stuck open and he closed it. He said that it may continue. What part would I need to replace if it continues to happen and if we replace the damper will that fix the problem?
Paul May 07, 2016 I have a PSC23NGMBB Artica side by side unit that keeps making taping noises from the Climate control center. Tapping noise seems to be from the upper side and lasts about three to five seconds then repeats about every 10 minutes. Checked mother board but no noise there. Temperature seems fine, just the irritating tapping.
1 Answer Hello Paul, This noise is from the damper assembly WR49X10091 so the problem could be there or it could have a problem with the control WR49X10095. Read More...
Lois February 24, 2016 for Model Number GE Monogram Side by Side Refrigerator I've has a repair service come out. The fan behind the Climate Control has been making a knocking noise. They diagnosed as need a new fan behind drawer. Explaining if not fixed the temperature of the whole fridge can be affected. I turned the drawer off yesterday, the knocking noises have ceased. My question is do I really need that drawer on,or will the temperature of entire fridge eventually have an issue? I really don't use it....
1 Answer Lois, The custom cool does not need to be turned on in order for the unit to cool properly. Read More...
Gary M June 16, 2015 for Model Number ZIS480NMC I have a ZIS480NMC side by side Monogram refrigerator. The lower draw in the refrigerator is about 12-15F even though the temp setting is at 34 F (produce selection) and the overall refrigerator temperature is about 10 degrees lower than the temp setting. The displays all seem to be reading correctly. I measured all of the thermistors and they are measuring 12-15K ohms. Is it safe to assume that the thermistors are good? If so, what is the most likely cause of this malfunction, the control board, lower damper or? Could you give me some trouble shooting suggestions?
1 Answer Gary, Your post description would indicate that the damper(s) WR60X10063 and WR31X10017 are probably stuck open or broken and allowing cold air to continuously circulate through the drawer and into the refrigerator compartment. You'll also want to check and make sure the seals aren't broken or leaking air as well. If you repost your question and include an e mail address we can assist you with some illustrated information that may make it easier on you. Read More...
Steve May 05, 2015 for Model Number ZISS420DMBS The bottom drawer in my GE Monogram is warmer than the rest of the fridge - I ran diagnostics and the lower damper door does not open during the test cycle. I did run the thermistor test as well and all five passed. Do I just need to replace the damper door with part # WR60X10063 or is there more involved? And do any other parts (besides the drawer itself) need to be removed in order to replace?
1 Answer Steve, You would just need to replace the damper assembly but make sure that it is not the double one that needs replaced. Also to remove this damper you will have to remove the entire custom cool section of the unit. Read More...
Rick October 11, 2014 for Model Number ZISS420DXASS How may dampers do I need it shows only one? On the climate control drawer

Derek July 20, 2014 for Model Number PSW26SGPASS The damper on my GE Profile fridge model PSW26SGPASS has broken. The replacement part seems to be WR60X10063. However, the electrical connection is different. The damper on my fridge is on a wire harness which is soldered to the damper motor (four wires, red, white, blue and yellow) and to the fan, with a plug connection to the fridge wiring. The replacement part has a plug in connection, which seems from the photos to have only two wires. So, is this the correct damper for my model? If so, do I need to replace the damper, the fan and the wire harness? If so, what parts should I order other than the damper? And will the new harness fit the connection in the fridge? Thanks
1 Answer Derek, Based on the wire colors you supplied, you need the Refrigerator Damper Assembly WR49X10091. The part number you ordered WR60X10063 is the Damper Assembly for the "Custom Cool" compartment at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment. Read More...

Tom November 05, 2013 for Model Number ZISB420DMC I have a 42 inch built in GE Monogram. About every 15 minutes, the refrigerator makes a noise like a woodpecker for about 3 seconds. It sounds like it is coming from the bottom section of the refrigerator behind the climate control drawer. Any ideas on what's wrong and how to fix it?
1 Answer Tom, Behind the climate zone there is a fan motor that could be faulty or there is the dampers for the climate zone. If the damper is faulty then you would want to replace the damper. Read More...
Dave September 28, 2013 for Model Number PSS27SGRBSS The model number I listed does not show up in your list of available model numbers when looking for the damper assy parts for the lower custom cool area. Parts I am looking at are WR60X10063 or WR60X10062. Which part fits my model fridge?? Do I need any additional parts to replace the damper and stop it from making noise?
1 Answer Dave, There are no other parts that you would need for the replacement of the dampers. Read More...
