Hello Jeff. You will cut the wires going to the old thermostat and strip about 1/4" of the insulation off the wire in the freezer. Then attach the new thermostat WR50X122 wires to the wires in the freezer. It does not matter which wire goes where. Once the wires are done, you will clip the new thermostat to the copper part of the evaporator coil system. Hope this helps.

Hello David. The icemaker does not affect the compressor running. If you replaced the electronic control WPW10135090 and the other parts, you may need to replace the control box 2304102. If it is bad, the compressor will not run. Hope this helps.

Tasos for Model Number General Electric TFG20JRXAWW Refrigerator

I have a general electric tfg20jrxaww refrigerator . 6 months ago it started rising the temperature in the fresh food section. After that I tried to repair it by myself and I found that in the fridge section are two thermostats, they are connected in series and between them is a small sealed black box named "esd". Whats the difference between the two thermostats. Do you send items in greece ? Thanking you in advance

Hello Tasos! The WR50X122 is the defrost thermostat. WR9X568 is the refrigerator cold control and WR9X530 is the freezer cold control. We are not capable of shipping outside of the U.S at this time, we will need a U.S physical address. Thanks!

Hello. You can test the heater and thermostat with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity when cold. Hope this helps.
