Jeff April 02, 2012 for Model Number GE TPX21PRXAAA / Serial # AR210585 The thermostat doesn't look like my thermostat. How do I install it and mount it?
1 Answer Hello Jeff. You will cut the wires going to the old thermostat and strip about 1/4" of the insulation off the wire in the freezer. Then attach the new thermostat WR50X122 wires to the wires in the freezer. It does not matter which wire goes where. Once the wires are done, you will clip the new thermostat to the copper part of the evaporator coil system. Hope this helps. Read More...

Guest March 07, 2011 My kenmore refrigerator is not cooling from the refrigerator side. When I unplug it and defrost all the ice in the freezer side, it works for about two weeks perfectly, until it starts building ice on the freezer side and stops cooling on the refrigerator side. How do I know if I need to replace the defrost thermostat or the defrost heater? Thanks for any help I can get.
1 Answer Hello. You can test the heater and thermostat with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity when cold. Hope this helps. Read More...
