Bill, the technical data sheet would usually be located on the kickplate or inside of the door assembly unless it has been relocated.

Took apart door after detergent leaking out of bottom of door inside unit. Discovered the the low detergent sensor on the right side of the smart tank (870) severely loose. It’s got detergent caked and the seal looks dead. I can’t find the low detergent sensor part in any of the diagrams for this model. The part has a gasket seal on one side, and 2 long forks on the other side with metal prongs. It has two wires attached to the gasket side. If you look in the diagram it’s the part that goes inside of the hole on the right side of the tank (870). I’m not sure if I’m need to replace both the tank and the sensor, or just the sensor, but the seal is definitely shot on the sensor. Do you sell this part?

I filled up the Smart Dispense tank on me GE Profile dishwasher and after a dishwasher run, noticed all of the detergent was leaking out the bottom of the door into the inside of the dishwasher. No external leak, no suds, but the contents of an entire bottle of detergent leaked from the bottom of the door to the floor of the dishwasher. Prior to filling it I noticed a solid block of detergent along the bottom of the door, so I’m guessing this has been happening for awhile. My guess based on the tech diagram is... cracked tank, bad hose or clamp, or bad pump. Which is most likely based in my description? Have not taken it apart yet. Thanks in advance!

John, This issue would most likely be caused by a cracked detergent dispenser assembly.

Debbi, If the cap will not fit on the rinse detergent bottle any more then you would want to get the bottle kit part number WD35X10065.

Thomas, There are 2 ways to purge the tank, the first would be to take the cap off and poor water into in, then lift it up to allow it to drain. This may leave water in the tank though. The other way is to open the door and remove the screws holding the inner panel in place. Once this is done then you will want to lift the panel up and remove the detergent tank and flush with hot water.

Hello Ron. Yes, based on the information you provided, if the dispenser is leaking, and the motor on the dispenser is not running, you will need to replace the dispenser WD12X10384. Hope this helps.

Hi Jeanette. You can cancel the cycle or just press drain and it should automatically go into a 2-min. drain. There is a tech. sheet in the lower kick plate that will allow a field service test to individually test each device and it will direct you in the circuit of a fault code if one persist. If not then check the drain hose at the sink and also the sink connection to see if it is clogged or the pump. Use either Glisten cleaner monthly part # W10549845, or Dishwasher Magic part # TJ104 monthly to keep proper performance up. Make sure the water is run hot during loading and the incoming temperature is at least 120 °. Remove the wash arms and use a pick tool under the sink to flush out any debris stuck in the jet holes. Thank You.

Moose, Have you checked and flushed the detergent dispenser, per the owners manual ? You should try that first " Consumer Purge Cycle The consumer must enter Service Mode to activate the purge cycle. The purge cycle fi lls the dishwasher for 57 seconds, then energizes the dispenser pump (instead of the main motor) continuously to drain the bulk dispenser tank . The purge cycle deselects all other options and runs for 65 minutes. The consumer should run the purge cycle 3 times, filling the dispenser tank with water for the second and third cycles. Total time is approximately 3 hours." A clogged dispenser is more common than a bad motor, or control issue. Good Luck and Thanks

Hi Kim. The dispenser part # is WD12X10163. It includes the cap. This is the one that is mid way onh the left side of the inner panel. The one opposite on the rt. side is part # WD12X10384. There is a Detergent bottle kit that is with your model also, this is part # WD35X10065. Suggestion is to take the inner door panel screws off and lift he door to inspect which part/s are defective. Let us know and we will help. Thank you.
