The Dryer Front Bearing Drum Slide (Green, 2-Pack) is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. These slides are located on the front panel of the dryer and work to support the drum as it rotates. The green slides are designed to reduce friction between the drum and the panel, ensuring smooth operation and helping to prolong the life of the appliance.

Over time, these slides can wear out due to constant movement, heat, and friction. When worn or damaged, the drum may not rotate as intended, leading to noise and reduced efficiency.

Symptoms of bad dryer front bearing drum slides include:

  • Squeaking or grinding noises during operation
  • The drum appearing loose or sagging at the front
  • Clothes not drying evenly or taking longer to dry
  • Visible wear or thinning on the existing drum slides

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

For Ge Dryer Front Bearing Drum Slide Green 2-Pack (Part Number: OEM21653178)

Chaz for Model Number DBXR463EGWW

Hi, I’m replacing all the slide bearings on my dryer. I’m not sure how many are necessary. I’ve ordered 2: one 1067 and one 504. The new front support assembly has four slots, but when I originally opened it up due to loud squeaking, there were only 2 slides (one had come off and the drum had damaged the front assembly.) I planned to order 2 more slides anyways, but I’m not sure how they need to be arranged. Also, can I still operate the dryer with just 2 bearings only for the 3-5 days it will take for the others to get delivered? Thanks in advance!

Chaz, When replacing the bearing slide you will want to replace 2 of each even if 2 of them are ok.

Catuy, It could not hurt to have a look at the rear bearing and see its condition. Overloading would be a real issue with this style machine.

Frustrated, In most cases, when the bearing slides are wearing out quickly it is caused by an overloading issue. It is possible that the top bearing is damaged.

John, this model would use two WE03X37317 bearing slides and two WE03X37318 bearing slides on the model provided making for a total of 4 installed on the top drum support. However, it would be recommended that they are inspected for wear as this noise can be caused by a failing idler pulley WE12X83 or even rear bearings WE25M40.
