The Faceplate is an OEM part for GE ovens. It is mounted on the front of the oven, covering the control panel area where the user interacts with the oven's settings and functions.

Symptoms of a bad Faceplate include:

  • Cracks or breakage that can expose internal components,
  • Fading or peeling of finish, which affects the appearance and readability of the control labels,
  • Loose fit that may interfere with the operation of control knobs or buttons.

Causes of faceplate damage typically involve physical impacts, excessive cleaning that degrades materials, or heat exposure that can warp or distort the plastic.

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Mardi, the faceplate used is going to be dependent on if it is a retrofitted control panel or not. If the overlay is 17.5" in length, the control panel kit WB49T10037 would be needed. If the overlay is 9.4" in length, the overlay WB27T11229 would be used. These parts are GE parts.
