Jim March 14, 2021 for Model Number JGB850EEF3ES Our lower oven stopped working and we have been through now 3 igniters. We called GE and they told us a part number to buy and that turned out to be for the upper oven but the lower igniter. (Not lower oven) WB13X25263 is what we purchased and it is the wrong part.

If connector cannot be accessed from within oven, can connector be cut out and wires joined with ceramic wire nuts as I have seen on YouTube?

John November 24, 2018 for Model Number JGB870SETSS My lower oven wasn't working. The controls system showed it warming but there was no flame. I replaced the Igniter Glow Bar and turned on the oven. The oven ignited and heated for about 5 minutes. While the controls indicated the oven was still working, the burner turned off. I removed the oven floor again and found the glow bar was broken with pieces of the element on the bottom pan. Would this indicate a failed part?
1 Answer John, Not necessarily, These ignitors are very touchy and crack easily upon install. You need to make sure it doesn't touch anything or get hit before it is installed. Read More...
