Dan December 23, 2011 for Model Number gld4458r00cs i have gld4458r00cs ge profile clean steel dishwasher. We lost power and my dishwasher is now dead. I made a service call and the technician that came and looked at it diagnosed the issue as being a bad solid state control. I am a professional auto technician and have had a lot of experience fixing circuit boards. So im wondering if this--- (AP3958565), is the solid state control the tech is referring to. The controls/dishwasher is completely dead so it makes sense. Also is this part located in the door and is it the right part for my particular dishwasher. thank you
1 Answer Hello Dan. Yes, the control board is located inside the door of the unit. However, based on the model number you provided, WD21X10378 is the correct main control kit for your model. Hope this helps. Read More...

Bob September 09, 2011 for Model Number GLD5960N10SS Bom Dia! I live in rural Brazil and we continually have power outages, brownouts, and surges. The dishwasher is about a year old and the first problem I noted was the heater began to turn on during no spray conditions and the detergent dispenser door would occasionally remain closed during a wash. Now the washer does not do any wash or rinse cycles, but will indicate the wash is complete after the normal wash time. I can hear the fill solenoid/relay and water entering the washer when I press the start button, then a few minutes later I hear another relay but nothing happens. The washer does fill and drain properly and all pushbuttons appear to work fine, but thats it.
1 Answer Hi Bob. Thanks. It does sound like you need to replace the control board, part # is WD21X10247. This will include instructions specific to youre model. Please make sure you plug in all connections tight. Thank you. Read More...

Greg July 29, 2011 for Model Number GE WD21X10247 KIT / AP3958565 Hi! I got this part because my "Normal Wash" and "Heated Dry" LEDs were on and nothing I did made any difference. The forums recommended this part as a fix. The problem now is I replaced the boards, and remembered to move the resistor over, but when I flip the power on, I still the same problem...both LEDs on, and none of the other buttons do anything. The only difference this time is the LEDs turn off after ~5 min and then nothing. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Greg. Check and make sure the cable from the kit WD21X10247 is connected good. Also check and make sure the membrane on the control panel is not pressing in on one of the buttons. Hope this helps. Read More...
