Michael K December 09, 2012 for Model Number Quiet Power 3 - GLD5900N10CC GE Quiet Power 3 Dishwasher - Dishwasher stopped responding. If you plug the dishwasher in with the door closed just the rinse light comes on and responses to no other buttons. If you plug it in with the door open the normal wash and heated dry lights come on but does not respond to any buttons. If you plug it in while holding down the start/reset button is seems to go into a maintenance cycle where it will run for about 5 minuets and starts the cycle again. Any suggestions? Thanks
1 Answer Michael, You most likely have a faulty keypad assembly WD34X11288 on the control panel. You can try to program the diagnostic test mode, If the control won't accept the inputs, replace the control panel. Read More...
Sage May 17, 2012 for Model Number gld4100m00bb Ive replaced the main contol board twice on this unit, but after awhile the same things keeps happening, 2 of the lights keeps flashing and nothing works. Have reset the breaker and still just flashes. Can you help?
1 Answer Hello Sage. It sounds like you will need to replace the escutcheon WD34X11132 along with the main kit WD21X10247 to repair the issue. Read More...
Raymond C. April 09, 2012 for Model Number DCL333EAOAA Hello, Thank you for the response, but when I put the tester to it, it starts to register and then goes to zero on both the start switch and the door switch. Thanks, Ray Hello Ray, You should show infinite resistance on the start button until it is pressed, at which time you will read zero resistance. The door switch should read infinite resistance when the door is opened and zero resistance when it is closed.
1 Answer Hello Raymond, Make sure your test meter is on the resistance X 100 scale. It sounds like you may be set to a voltage scale. If not, both of your switches are reading bad. Read More...
Raymond C. April 09, 2012 for Model Number DCL333EAOAA Hello, I have tested the thermal fuse AP3423290 on my GE Dryer Model #DCL333EAOAA and I have (0) resistance. How much resistance if any should you have on the starter button and the door button in the off position and on the on position. Thanks, Ray

Raymond C. April 07, 2012 for Model Number DCL333EAOAA GE Dryer Hello, How would you test the thermal switch on this DCL333EAOAA GE Dryer. At $90.00 I want to make sure its the problem. Thanks, Ray
1 Answer Hello Raymond, The thermal limiter WE25X10011 should read no resistance, just like holding the test leads of the test meter together. Read More...
Raymond C. April 06, 2012 for Model Number DCL333EAOAA Hello. You mentioned checking the thermal switch on my GE Dryer but I do have power as I was zapped yesterday as I was checking around. Thanks, Ray
1 Answer Hi Ray. When you are doing any types of checks it is better to initially familiarize yourself with the unit with the power off. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. There is a thermal fuse on top of the heating element at the rt. side. Part # WE25X10011. It is a kit that opens if the vent is kinked, clogged and the outside vent /hood is stuck open. Look at the unit vent in its normal position (undisturbed). Look at the total vent length and correct with the vent running towards the outside on a downward slope so the moisture normally runs out. This will prevent clogs. That will back up the heat and over heat internal dryer parts and open them. Use flex metal vent instead of plastic so there are less chances of 15,000 house fires per/yr. Thank You. Read More...
Raymond C. April 05, 2012 for Model Number DCL333EAOAA Hello, Thanks for your reply, I did turn the breaker on and off and I do have power to the timer switch as I took a little tickle from it. When you point to the thermal switch is it the same as the door switch, if not where is it located. Thanks, Ray Hello Raymond, The more likely of the two would be the door switch but I would check the breaker by turning it on and back off first. I think the thermal fuse would be the best place to start. Let me know the correct model number if you require further assistance. Raymond C. April 05, 2012 for Model Number M 460 G Hello, All of sudden the dryer does not turn on, do you think it would be the start switch or the door switch. I did replace the timer with another good used part and it did not make a difference. Thanks, Ray

Raymond C. April 05, 2012 for Model Number GLD4400N10WW Sometimes you push start on the dishwasher and it will sound like the water is coming in a little then the lights start blinking, the heat will come on and then it will stop completely. If I push reset about 10 times it will come back on and sometimes will go through a complete cycle and other times it will stop after a few minutes. Do you think it is the master board that needs replacement. Thanks, Ray
1 Answer Hello Raymond, It could be the main control board, but I would check the wire nuts at the power supply connection behind the kick panel first. I have found by following other technicians that a lot of control boards are replaced for no reason and I find more burned wire nuts than you would think. The lights blinking is the thing that leads me to this conclusion. If this isn't the case, I would check the other connections at the control before I ordered anything. Next, discontinue power to the unit to try to reset the microprocessor on the control WD21X10247. If no bad connections are found, then the last resort is the control. Read More...
Don H. February 05, 2012 for Model Number WD21X10247 I have the GE dishwasher model number above. There may have been a current surge, because the washer will not wash, and the lights on the control tactile don't light up like they used to. Looking at your web page for this part, it seems that are two different pieces. One is the shape of a rectangle, the other is weirdly shaped, which matches the shape of the lights and buttons on the door. If I order this part, will I get both pieces? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Don! What you see in the picture of the main and tactile board WD21X10247 is what you will receive when ordered. Thanks. Read More...
