Raymond March 11, 2022 for Model Number GTW460ASJ4WW .I replaced the control board and also replaced lid lock. When I replaced control I did not put in a personality number. The machine seemed to work ok but now it will not lock the lid and it will not drain or spin. But it did work ok for a load or two after putting in the new board. Should I try to put in the personality number to fix this issue or do I need to update the software?
1 Answer Raymond, I would make sure that the personality is set properly. Then if the issue continues try running the diagnostics mode found on the tech sheet to determine the issue. Read More...
Wade December 01, 2021 for Model Number GTW460ASJ9WW Hot water fill does not appear to work. Machine fills tap cold water when set to Hot or Warm. Fills warmish when set to Colors. Ran error codes, none relevant. Ran diagnostic test on Hot water and then Cold water valves and both work fine, plenty of hot water into machine during diagnostic test. Ran Analog Knob diagnostic and all knobs worked fine EXCEPT Temperature Switch which had inconsistent blinking behaviors when rotating knob. Light is supposed to blink faster when you rotate right but it would REMAIN blinking same frequency from Cold through to Hot setting – or suddenly change frequency and blink faster –but would not consistently change blinking speeds as I rotated dial: sometimes slowing, sometimes speeding up. This leads me to believe the Temperature control is malfunctioning. Looking at the parts list I'm lead to believe the control board TL27 needs to be replaced. Thoughts?
1 Answer Wade, Based on the information provided this does sound like a possible issue, but you may want to look at the selector switch assembly as well. Read More...
Abraham November 23, 2021 for Model Number GTW330ASK2WW Don't rinse but it will spin and wash. Where can i find the codes for it.
1 Answer Abraham, the error code display mode can be entered by pressing and holding the start button (the unit is in off mode) until all of the LEDs turn on and the button can be released. The pause and lid-locked LEDs should constantly blink and the 6 cycle status LEDs should flash in a specific pattern, indicating the most recent error code. Read More...
Bryant August 21, 2021 for Model Number GTW485ASJ1WS I have a G.E. Washer , MODEL # GTW485ASJ1WS . I ran the diagnostic test , and was given fault code # 19 . The manual reads that this fault code is in relation to the pressure sensor . I'm having trouble locating the pressure sensor on the diagram . What part number is the pressure sensor ? Or is the pressure sensor part of the electronic control board ?
1 Answer Bryant, Thanks for the question!!! Yes, the pressure switch is part of the control board. Before replacing the control check the pressure hose and attachment ports for blockages. Read More...
Jen July 06, 2021 for Model Number GTW460ASJ5WW My sensor light stays on ...machine will not do anything. I am debating between the control board or maybe the air line to the pressure sensor could be clogged. any suggestions
1 Answer Jen, It would be recommended to get the tech sheet from inside the unit and put the unit into a service diagnostic mode to see if there are any stored error codes. If there are error codes, the tech sheet will tell you what they mean. Read More...
Gina April 14, 2021 for Model Number GTW460ASJ6WW I have a GTW460ASJ6WW. When we attempt to turn it on it fills only a minimal amount. Not enough to even wet the clothes. It then attempts at agitate. It will then not allow you to hold down the start button for three seconds to stop it. Only way to stop it is to unplug it. We have tried thisa few times. It has to stay unplugged for hours before you can attempt again, or it goes right back it to attempting to agitate. If we put it on small load it does this, even if you then attempt to put on a large load it will try to fill for about 3-5 secs then goes right back into agitate attempt. Once it is in this mode it can not be stopped.
1 Answer Gina, Based on the information provided this does sound like a board issue and it would need to be replaced. WH22X38441C Read More...

Ken February 15, 2021 for Model Number GTW330ASK1WW The water level is way too low, has been since first day i bought the washer. Anything i can do to fix this or do i have to replace the electronics board. If i replace the board, is there any programming needed for the new board?
1 Answer Ken, This is normal for the washer to not fill the tub. Here is an excerpt from the owner's manual explaining this. NOTE: This is a high-efficiency washing machine. This system requires less water while providing effective cleaning action. You may notice that the water level is lower than on your previous washer. This is normal. Read More...
Phillip December 03, 2020 for Model Number GTW330ASK1WW Good day the washer keeps skipping the rinse cycle. If i put it on rinse and spin it would rinse and spin and then complete the cycle, thanks.
1 Answer Phillip, while the washer is in the off state, press and hold the start button until all of the LEDs turn on (should take no more than 15 seconds). If an LED pattern flashes on the cycle status LEDs, this will indicate an error code. If an error code does not appear, the failure would most likely be in the main control WH22X38441C. Read More...
Patsy July 23, 2020 for Model Number GTW490ACJ2WW 2 year old GE washer with drain pump that runs continuously. No cycle indicator lights are lite on panel and lid lock is not locked. None of the buttons do anything It just sits there with the pump running until I unplug it. I think it is the control board but want to confirm it with an expert.
1 Answer Patsy, With the drain pump continuing to run then this will be a faulty control board that will need to be replaced. Read More...
