Brian K September 19, 2025 for Model Number HaGTW720BSN1WS Start washer and will fill a little, lid lock will chick on and off, run threw cycle but will not spin in spin cycle runs cycle and doesn’t drain and than will end cycle and not unlock or drain did replace lid lock switch with new one with same result thinking controll board is bad
1 Answer Brian, Thank you for your question. The recommendation is get the tech sheet from inside the unit and put it into service diagnostics to see if there are any error codes.Error codes will guide you to what to check to see what may be going on. With the issues you are dealing with, this sounds like it may be a control issue but do the diagnostics first. Read More...
Jim June 27, 2025 for Model Number GTW335ASN0WW It will slow spin and pumps water out but will not go into high spin. The spin light will then flash for the remainder of the cycle. This happens on every wash setting including Drain/Spin. However, if I put it into Field Service Mode and run the spin test, it works perfectly.
1 Answer Hello Jim and thank you for your question. Based on the information provided, it sounds like there is a control failure. If there are no error codes, the main control WH22X38441C would be the most likely cause of failure. Read More...
Leroy January 20, 2025 for Model Number Htw240ask6ws Hotpoint washer will not work on large or super load size selector. Will work on small load selection but that’s the only one.
1 Answer Leroy, if there is not an error code found when entered into the consumer error mode (cycle status LED on, cycle knob at the 12 o'clock position, the start button can be held down for 10 seconds and all of the LEDs should turn on followed by an error code being identified), then the main control WH22X38441C would be the most likely cause of failure. Jim January 07, 2025 for Model Number GE Model GTW335ASNWW I replaced the washer shift actuator, but actuator will not engage during the agitate cycle. Tried in test mode and motor reverses back and forth but actuator will not engage the clutch/gear.
1 Answer Jim, if the clutch gear is able to move smoothly by hand and there are no loose or broken wires, it is likely that the main control WH22X38441C is not sending voltage to the shift actuator. Read More...
Susan December 21, 2024 for Model Number GTW335ASN1WW Washer will turn on but is stuck in the fill mode without filling except a few seconds in beginning of first fill cycle. I’ve checked screens, water supply, tried replacing lid lock and solenoid part and these things don’t change what’s happening. Can not find any water level pressure switch. Could this be a board issue?
1 Answer Susan, it would be recommended that the water valve WH13X26534 be tested for 120 Volts AC when it is failing to fill. If voltage is present, the valve would need to be replaced. If there is not voltage, the pressure hose would need to be checked for any partial clogs. If it is clear, the main control WH22X38441 would be the cause of failure as it supplies voltage to the valves and has the pressure switch built into it. Read More...
Tim September 04, 2024 for Model Number GTW335ASN0WW Washer has a spin problem. It will spin, starts on slow spin then goes to high, then back to low where it finishes the cycle. Cloths are still wet at the end of cycle. Have changed the speed control and the mode shifter and belt. What else to try.
1 Answer Tim, if the washer does not go out of balance and no parts are loose, the main control WH22X38441C would need to be checked for error codes through the diagnostic mode. If there are no error codes found, the main control would be the cause of failure. Read More...
Tom August 13, 2024 for Model Number GE GTW330ASK0WW The tub wouldn't drain & the lid lock wasn't on. The LED lights came on. I vacuumed out the tub & then the drain tube. When plugged back in it sounds like the drain pump is coming on but no LED lights & no response from the control panel. approx 14 ohms on the drain pump. Control board? Thanks
1 Answer Tom, based on the information provided, the main control WH22X38441C would be the most likely cause of failure. Read More...
Tim July 01, 2024 for Model Number GTW485ASJ1WS WASHER WILL NOT DO ANYTHING, WATER WILL NOT COME IN.IGHTS WILL SHOW FOR A SHORT TIME THEN GO OFF.CK CONNECTIONS WANT ELSE COULD CAUSE THIS PROBLEM OTHER THAN CONTROL BOARD/TIMER.
1 Answer Hello Tim, thank you for contacting APP, The unit may be stuck in an emergency drain mode. If the Drain Pump WH23X28418 fails the unit will stay in this mode until the issue is resolved. If you are familiar with the usage of a multimeter I would suggest unplugging the unit and accessing the drain pump to take a reading. The pump should read about 13.2O resistance. If the pump is not reading within about +/-2O of 13.2O it will need to be replaced. *Note* If the drain pump is the issue, it is likely that the unit will go into a drain cycle for up to 20 minutes, allow the unit to complete this cycle. If the drain pump is in range, I would suspect an issue with the Main Control WH22X38441C. Read More...
Debbie June 30, 2024 for Model Number debcon2014@gmail.com Does the main control panel include the timer for this model? The machine won't move from one cycle to the next. It just keeps washing. Sounds like a timer issue but there is no part for "timer".
1 Answer Hello Debbie, thank you for contacting APP, The Main Control WH22X38441C is effectively the "timer" on models that use it, but it does not operate in exactly the same manner as a timer. The Main Control takes readings and information from other components to determine when it needs to advance further into a cycle, it may be that it is seeing or not seeing something that is preventing it from advancing due to an issue with another component. John May 26, 2024 for Model Number GTW460ASJ8WW Nothing worked. machine would not come on, would fill, nothing. it would only lock and unlock the lid. unplugged for a few hours tried it again after holding the start/stop/pause button in and now machine works again. I had tried this same step earlier and it didnt work, but after being unpligged several hours it did work. do you think it is the main board malfunctioning?
