Sorry for being a pest but I want to be clear about entering the personality id from the field service mode. Hold the start button and turn the selector dial 7 clicks. Release the start button. Turn the selector dial until the 2nd & 6th led lights are on. Press start. Rotate the selector dial until the correct personality id is displayed. Then hold the start button for 3 seconds to confirm the personality id. Thanks again

Brian, this would be the correct procedure to change the personality ID of the model provided.

Thanks for responding to my question. So the light on the deep fill is 1 of the 6 led's? Is personality ID 18 correct for my model? Thanks again.

Hello. Today I installed the new control board and ran into problems trying to enter the personality ID. Based on the instructions I think I have personality ID #18. I'm not even sure. I went into the field service mode to start over but the chart shows 6 led lights. I only have 5. Unless the deep fill light is considered number 1. Is it? This confusion also makes it difficult trying to enter the correct personality ID. I got frustrated, unplugged the washer and walked away from it. Now I don't know what to do.

Brian, The LEDs are the six between the deep fill and start buttons. Start from the beginning and reset, using the instruction sheet that came with the part.

Hello. My washer wouldn't spin because the drain pump started to go bad. I replaced the drain pump. Now the washer will spin on the drain/spin setting but not when the washer is set on a normal wash setting. I'm not sure if I need a new control board or a software update on my current control board. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Brian, if no error codes appear when placed into error mode (knob set to 12 o'clock position then holding the start button for 10 seconds), and there is not excessive vibration when the washer spins in drain and spin, the failure would be in the main control WH22X38441C.

will not stop on spin cycle? looked up mother board # on HTW240ASK6WS no longer available. it gave me WH22X36498 and it is not compatible with this machine. i do not even know if this is the problem, Help

Lawrence, based on the information provided, the failure would be in the main control WH22X38441C as the unit is stuck in the middle of a cycle. The model provided has not been added to our system as of yet and will not be identified in the compatibility tool, however, the control WH22X38441C is recommended for use by the manufacturer.

After about 1 month this washer started beeping when not in use. It will quit and sometimes we have to unplug it. Do you have any suggestion.
