Bobby August 13, 2014 for Model Number GE gas dryer wcvh6260fww Dryer not getting clothes dry, replaced igniter, it is lighting but still not getting clothes dry.
1 Answer Hello Bobby. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Corine L March 15, 2014 for Model Number whirlpool cabrio gray bought in 2009 steam dryer My dryer started making a loud noise like a rubbing sound and kinda like bearing. Then the noise stopped after a few weeks . Dryer seemed to work as new, then one day we put a load in and tried to turn it on it just beeped and the time decreases but the drum doesn't turn. There is no noise. So we pulled it apart and replaced the belt and belt tensioner pulley because the bracket broke and the round part was not completely round. It appeared to be worn and the bearings were froze. I put it back together and now the drum still won't turn and no sound but the initial beep and it will heat though the door switch works.
1 Answer Corine, You will want to check the drum rollers to ensure that they are not seized up. Seized drum rollers will cause the drum not to turn and will allow the motor and pulley to turn and cut into the belt. Read More...
Frank September 04, 2013 for Model Number DPGT750EC1WW GE profile dryer (Harmony)..Blower motor starts with rest of things when you push start, in about a minute it stops running..Prior to this blower motor intermittently stopped and started..Is this the motor crapping out or the inverter or possably the control panel..Thanks
1 Answer Hello Round head. You need to check the door switch and the thermal fuse on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
1 Answer Hello Mike, You would find the thermal fuse on the top part of the heater assembly. To access you would push in on 2 clips between the cabinet and main top. Read More...
Jeff December 26, 2012 for Model Number dpg7750ec1ww My dryer started making a high pitch noise. It happens about 10 seconds after the drum begins to turn. I thouroughly cleaned the lint out of the dryer lint trap and exhaust pipe. I think it may be the bearings in the blower motor but I am not sure. The dryer is working fine but I think I'm on borrowed time. Your Thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Jeff, it's difficult to say until you get into it but some other parts to look at would be the support rollers WE03X10008, the idler pulley WE12X10012, or the front drum seal WE09X10015. Hope this helps! Read More...
