Kathy October 16, 2015 for Model Number Jenn Air 4 burner & griddle cook top (2003) CCGP2720P Natural gas is now available my neighborhood and I'd like to convert my JennAir cook top back to Natural Gas. I can not locate the original NG orifices when it was new and converted to LP back in 2003. What parts do I need? Per my installation manual, the burners are: 2 LP65 spuds, 1 LP69 spud, and 1 LP70 spud. My installation manual says I need 2 Gold, 1 Green, and 1 Silver. Are these colors standard? Or specific to my cook top? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Kathy, You will need to order one of each of WP7507P240-60, WP7507P238-60, 71003150, and 71002721 for the model number provided. I'm sorry but these two parts, 71003150, and 71002721, have been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. If you are able to locate the other parts for the conversion, the regulator will still also need to be converted by removing the brass nut and flipping the gas stop over and re-installing the brass nut. Check for leaks with lightly soapy water, (one teaspoon of liquid soap in a quart of water). Read More...
Erica August 01, 2015 for Model Number RGB525DEH2BB The Hotpoint stove I bought from BestBuy came with 5 orifices in the conversion kit. I am trying to convert stove from natural gas to propane. The 4 orifices for the top burners have been replaced, but the orifice for the oven has falling behind the stove. I called GE in order to get the oven orifice, but they tell me you don't have to replace anything just adjust it. The instructions says for the Oven Burner Orifice "To convert to LP, replace oven orifice with the one supplied in kit with range. This product cannot be converted to LP by adjusting the oven orifice. The orifice must be replaced for LP." My question is what is the part number for the oven orifice they are talking about? The top burners are working properly, just the bottom oven. The flames are very high under the broiler. The gas man states I need to buy an oven orifice in order for the oven to be properly converted to LP.
1 Answer Erica, Yes according to the instructions it does say that the oven orifice cannot be converted even though GE says it can. Unfortunately we cannot find any type of information in regards to the orifice for the unit. It may be necessary to get another conversion kit for the unit in order to get the orifice. Read More...
Erica July 28, 2015 for Model Number rgb525deh2bb Bought Hotpoint stove from BestBuy. The installer was changing the stove over from natural gas to LP gas and the spud orifice fell behind the stove. J Phillips July 28, 2015 for Model Number JGP945BEK2BB I am converting my GE Profile cooktop from LP to NG, and the installer didn't leave the original orifices. GE is insisting I buy tubes and orifices ($207 vs. $50).,and insisted that something bad could happen (i.e., an gas leak or explosion) if I don't replace the tubes too, is this true? They have two types of replacement orifices: WB28T10116 (simmer, your #AP3949506) and WB28T10115 (main spud, your #AP3885810). The manual says the LP orifices have engraved marks (and they do), do the NG orifices have marks? Do the marks matter? Do I order 4 main and 1 simmer orifice? My burners are RF 18,000btu, RR 5,000btu, LF 9,500btu, and LR 11,000btu.
1 Answer J. Phillips, It would be necessary to replace the tubes as the GE does not offer all of the orifice spuds as a separate part. The parts that would need to be ordered are the following, For the right front burner you will need 2 orifice the main WB28T10115 and the simmer WB28T10116. For the left front burner you will need WB28T10227, left rear burner WB28T10110 and the right rear burner WB28T10149 Read More...
