Eleanor August 05, 2016 for Model Number JBP79WS2WW I have a 20 yr old GE Profile oven, the bake element burned out today. I found one that is the right size 18 in x 15 in but when I put in the model number, it says it doesn't match. Called your service line and the one that matches is not the same shape as the one I have now. The one they recommend looks like a cactus and the size is larger AP2030997. This stove is no longer produced so I'm not sure what to order.
Carole August 05, 2016 for Model Number JBP23GS1AD My oven element burned out. The model # is JBP23GS1AD. Can you tell me what replacement model number I need to get? Thanks!
Betty July 23, 2016 for Model Number JBP66BY1AD We ordered and received an element for this stove but did not pay attention to how the wires were connected when we took the old element out. There are three wires, one yellow and two black. Read where the yellow is connected to one place and the two blacks to the other, but when we did this the element starts heating up, even though not turned on. We have the yellow on the left (looking at the element) and the blacks on the right. What are we doing wrong? Help! Thank you
1 Answer Betty, According to the wiring diagram the 2 black wires will go to one side and the yellow will connect to the other. If the element is coming on when plugged in then it sounds like you may have a bad relay on the control board. Read More...
