Betty for Model Number JBP66BY1AD

We ordered and received an element for this stove but did not pay attention to how the wires were connected when we took the old element out. There are three wires, one yellow and two black. Read where the yellow is connected to one place and the two blacks to the other, but when we did this the element starts heating up, even though not turned on. We have the yellow on the left (looking at the element) and the blacks on the right. What are we doing wrong? Help! Thank you

Betty, According to the wiring diagram the 2 black wires will go to one side and the yellow will connect to the other. If the element is coming on when plugged in then it sounds like you may have a bad relay on the control board.
