David B May 19, 2012 for Model Number WD19X100032 How do you install the new shaft sleeve over the motor shaft without splitting it? It is obvious that it is an interference fit and requires some force to go on but in this case the interference was more than the sleeve could take. This sleeve was included in the kit, though it is not shown in the picture on the website.
1 Answer David, Once you remove the motor and sump assembly from the dishwasher, its a matter of unscrewing the chopper blade, grate, ring etc. Then separate the sump housing from the motor and press the shaft seal out of the housing. Here's some help " Hold motor shaft, remove old cutter.Remove the grater by rotating clockwise. Remove wear ring and wear ring retainer. Hold the motor shaft and remove the old impeller by turning clockwise. Separate motor from pump by removing four(4) screws. Remove protective sleeve from the motor shaft if present, and discard. Press seal out of the pump housing from motor side of pump and discard. Install new seal assembly by pressing seal firmly in pump housing seal pocket. Make sure seal is completely seated in the pump housing pocket." Good Luck and Thanks Read More...

Rh December 28, 2011 for Model Number GE GSD4030Z07WW Have basically fixed my non-draining unit by replacing check valve assembly and piston assembly but in the course of troubleshooting cannot get the cutter re-installed back on the shaft. How does one do that? Which side goes on the shaft and what direction to turn? Seems like it always falls off.
1 Answer Hi RH. The impeller assembly WD19X10032 is threaded on, it is a left hand thread. Honestly, most people are unable to get this part off due to the age and the part being rusted on, makes it almost impossible to remove. Usually, the entire assembly is purchased. If needed, the part number is WD26X10013. Thanks. Read More...
