Bacon February 16, 2015 for Model Number DPGT750EC1PL We have what appears to be no power to our electric dryer. The control panel will not wake or beep, and the drum light will not power on. I tested the voltage at the wall outlet and all tested fine. I tested the voltage at the cord connection in the back of the dryer and all tested fine. I tested pins 1 and 3 on CN10 and I got 120 volts. I also get 5 volts at pin 3 and 7 on CN11. I get no voltage at pins 3/8 and 3/12 on CN11/CN14 respectively, since I can't get the LCD screen to wake to pass this voltage. Is my issue the Pwb/pcb Asm-Main (part #AP3775275)?
1 Answer Bacon, With not getting power at the connections for the LCD screen then yes the main control board would be the issue with the unit. Read More...
Andy Ga October 05, 2014 for Model Number DPGT750EC1PL Hi, my electric dryer just stopped working, LCD is not coming on, buttons not working, inside light turns on when door is open. I tested the pins on CN10 and I got 120 volts. I also get 4.1 volts at pin 3 and 7 on CN11, I don't know if 4.1 volts is enough. Also after reconnecting board plug ins it turned on twice for about two seconds each time, now it wont turn on again. What part is bad and in need of replacement. Thanks
1 Answer Andy, The voltage on the CN11 should be a minimum of 12 vdc. If you are only getting 4.1 then the issue will be a faulty main control board WE04X10120. Read More...
Fritcr July 11, 2014 for Model Number DPGT750EC1PL My dryer will not "wake up" It has been doing this for the past year or so. We can usually beat on it or unplug it wait a bit then plug it back in then press the power button quickly and get it to work. Sometimes the washer will send the info over and that will wake it up but not always. I have checked the CN10 for 120v and it does have it. I have also checked the pins 3 and 7 on the main board and have 5v there. I do not have 5v at pins 1 and 3 on the ribbon from the front panel though. I have bought a used main board and control board (touch screen thing) Neither have made a difference at all. Now it is dead and will not "wake" no matter what I do. Can you tell me if need this board or what to check to make sure of what I need to order? I understand I can send it back but I'm not sure I want to spend another $300 on this dryer.
1 Answer Fritcr, This issue would be caused by a faulty LCD power display assembly. With it not coming on at all it indicates that it is burnt out. Read More...
Tryingtorepair February 14, 2014 for Model Number DPGT750EC1WW My dryer is intermittent. Presently it is dead with no display and won't turn on. I checked the filter and have 120V on the main board. There is 5V on pins 3 and 7 on CN11. Pressing the power button does not give me on pins 12 and 20 volts on pins 8 and 12 of CN14. Should I check for anything else or just buy the Main board and return it if it does not? Thanks
1 Answer Trying to repair, Based on the information, the issue does sound like it would be caused by the main control board. Read More...
William D March 30, 2013 for Model Number DPGT750EC1PL GE Profile Harmony (No longer made). I ordered and received part #AP3776628, the display asm today and after connecting it, it turns on and the buttons on the front of the dryer function but the touch screen is not responding and the dryer will not start. I did a load of laundry and the computer cable sent directions to the dryer but the dryer will not start when I pushed the start button. My question - The display assembly is very easy to install with 4 plugs and 4 screws. If I need the main Power assembly, Part # AP3775275, does this also plug in or will it be necessary to hard wire it? If it does simply plug in and that does not appear to be the case as I see lots of wires, I will take a chance and order that part to see if that solves the problem, otherwise it's time to buy a new dryer. Of note, the original display assembly does not turn on although when I tapped it with my fist last week, it turned on and worked perfectly for a few days before going silent again which is why I suspected the problem was with the LCD screen.
1 Answer William, The wires on the display board WE04X10134 would just unplug and plug back in. Since it is the display that is not working then the board would need to be replaced. Read More...
Donna K December 17, 2012 for Model Number GE Profile DPGT750EC2PL The line filter has 120v going in and going out and the light inside comes on with the door open. Other than the light , nothing else comes on. What do you recommend?
1 Answer Hello Donna, Check the main board WE04X10120 Connector CN10 pins 1 white to pin 3 black. You should have 120vac at this location. If you have power but nothing out of board then you would need to replace the control board. Read More...
Tony December 02, 2012 for Model Number dcvh640gj1ww I have a G E gas dryer, the display shows nothing till you open the door. Then it shows a number 5 or letter p, none of the buttons lite or work. Is there a way to test the control board ?
1 Answer Hello Tony, You could test the inputs and outputs of the control board using wiring diagram but based on the information provided your control board WE04X10120 would be at fault and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Spencer November 24, 2012 for Model Number DPGT750EC2PL The dryer display panel continues to blink. I can see the display after every blink, but when I press the display it makes a few clicks and nothing happens. In addition, the light inside the dryer cylinder is very dull. Dryer will not respond to command.
1 Answer Spencer, First, you need to check the voltage at the outlet and at the terminal block(on the back of the dryer) both "static" and under a " load". (you'll need a multi meter to test) The "dull" drum light indicates an issue in the voltage to the dryer, or a faulty door switch WE04X10110. Read More...
