Hello Chrys. Pull the unit out, disconnect the power, and remove the back panel for the control panel on the unit. Once the back panel is removed, you will pull the knob off the front of the switch. Then release the locking tab and twist the switch WE4X881 to remove and replace the switch.

your answer to same question-Hello Julie! The rotary start switch AP2042901 is a replacement. Judging from the available pictures it seems the switch now only has 2 prongs. Hi EJ. It does not matter really which terminals you put the 2-grouped together wires on. As long as both reds are on one side and the 2-grayish are on the other terminal. You May need to buy a double terminal adapter that slides on one terminal and has room for two wire connections to hook up to it. Part # TJMA02898-2. The start switch is called a momentary switch part # WE4X881. Thank You.
