The Service Machine Control is an OEM component specifically designed for GE dishwashers. As the main control board, it regulates all wash cycles including temperature, filtration, spray arm rotation, drying functions and end of cycle signals.

Causes of a faulty service machine control include normal wear and tear over time. Electronic failures or water exposure from plumbing issues can also trigger malfunctions.

Symptoms of a failing control board are:

  • Inability to progress through cycles fully
  • Flashing error codes during washes
  • Inconsistent wash and rinse performance
  • Component damage from power overload issues

Replacing it with this genuine GE OEM part restores optimal cycle handling. Proper controls are essential for sanitizing every wash. The part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA and some Kenmore models.

Hello Bob, 815 means you have accessed the Service Mode of the main control board, to exit it, press Cycle Select and Start pads for 5 seconds, that should let you exit the service mode if it does not exit then the control board is faulty.

John for Model Number GDT695SSJ2SS

Bought main control board from Appliance Parts Pros for this GE dishwasher as it is not working. Lights still on but won't start regardless of what I do. Unplugged and waited few minutes same thing. Replaced the other circuit board last year that is at top of door (one with control buttons) so I assumed it was the main control board now defunct. Evidently, I assumed wrong! My Q is: Will you take back this part (main control board) as it obviously is not the culprit. I will order another circuit board from you for door top if you'll credit back this one. Thanks!
