Cindy April 21, 2018 for Model Number SCA2000BCC03 GE Advantium oven - turntable makes a grating/grinding sound when trying to turn. Is it because of this piece? The shaft? Part Number: AP2009991 - also this purple piece looks like its plastic. The one in the oven is metal with a plastic piece on the bottom. Tried replacing the turntable - no difference. With turntable removed this shaft piece seems to still move a bit and there is no noise. Just wondering if you think that the shaft piece is worn a bit so its not grabbing fully when the metal turntable is on it.
1 Answer Cindy, A grinding noise would more likely be caused by a faulty turntable motor then a shaft of the motor being bad. Read More...
Edwin Lieberman February 16, 2013 Re: Part NO.10624: How long is this part? Will it fit a PAnasonic microwave, Model No. MN-7806
1 Answer Hello Edwin, The turntable shaft should be approximately 1 1/4 inches long. We would not have information on if it will fit a panasonic model. We would need the model of the unit to determine what part is needed. Read More...
Mike C January 08, 2013 for Model Number #SCA2000BCC03 Ge Microwave There is a screw in the white plastic part which surrounds the turntable shaft, but it does not appear to be a standard screw (phillips, etc.) it seems to be a star shape, despite what your reply to your last questioner on this subject. Do you know any more about removal of this, and if it is necessary to remove this part to replace the turntable shaft. It appears to remove that screw I need a special driver head--what I have doesn't seem to be working.
1 Answer Hello Mike, This would be a torx bit possibly a #15 or a #20 and if it has a round piece in the center of it then it is a security bit. You could get the Torx driver SAB454 which is good for torx and tamper resistant torx. Read More...
John Donovan October 18, 2012 for Model Number SCA2001BSS03 THE SHAFT THAT THE TURNTABLE TURNS ON FOR MY ADVANTIUM BROKE. I FOUND PART # AP2009991 ON YOUR WEBSITE. MY QUESTION IS HOW TO REPLACE IT AND HOW DIFFICULT IS IT ? IS A SPECIAL TOOL REQUIRED? THANK YOU
1 Answer Hi John, you have the right part number for the shaft WB02X10624. You would think a breakable part like that would be easily accessible from inside the microwave but if you don't see a way to access it, you may have to remove the base plate to get to it from underneath. A screwdriver should do it so you shouldn't require any special tools. Hope this helps! Read More...
