Lewis January 11, 2017 for Model Number RGB744GEV2WH My top burners would not click. The oven worked ok. I changed the spark electrodes [a misdiagnosis I guess]. The new spark electrodes don't click and now the oven won't lite. If i change the spark module will it affect the oven? I appreciate your help.
1 Answer Lewis, Installing new electrodes should not have had an effect on the oven operation. You will want to make sure that there was nothing that got disconnected on this issue. As for the electrodes not work you will want to test the ignition switches to make sure that they have continuity in the light position and if they do not they are faulty. If the switches check ok then the issue will be a faulty spark module. Read More...

Del February 03, 2016 My GE monogram gas stove has one burner that will not light and continues to click when lit manually. The other burners work. Is it the induvidual igniter or spark module?
1 Answer Del, The most likely cause for the issue of the unit continuing to click when the burner is lit would be a faulty ignition switch on the burner valve. Read More...

Both burners on the right side work - light automatically. What parts do I need to replace? The “Spark Electrode Top” – qty of 02X? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Luiz, You will want to check the spark electrodes to make sure that they are not cracked or damaged. Also check the continuity of the spark switches in the light position. If there is continuity then the switch is good. Most likely the issue will be caused by a faulty spark module. Read More...
Kenny S. September 30, 2014 for Model Number JGBP26WEV4WW Installed the stove ignitors fine, but for some reason the right "front" and "rear" dial activates both ignitors

Daniel K. March 14, 2013 My hot point stove works fine but oven just quit working. Model # RGB508PEA1WH
1 Answer Hello Daniel. Check and see if the igniter is glowing in the unit. If it is not, you will need to test for power to the igniter and replace it if it is bad. If it does glow, then Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. 1 Answer Hello Mike. Test the sensor. If it is good, Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve.
