Rachel October 05, 2014 for Model Number wsre5260d0ww My washer will fill, agitate and appears to drain, but won't spin. I performed the field device test and the washer will spin when in test mode. If I place it back in rinse mode, it will then pump out a bunch more water. The error code says that it "flood" and "slow pump". I've read information stating the washer will not go into spin mode if it does not empty. I tested the pressure hose and it is patent. Before I spend money on a pump and/or a pressure switch, I wanted to know your opinion.
1 Answer Hello Rachel, It is not uncommon for these pumps WH23X10030 to fail and I would say that replacing the pump will most likely cure your issue. It is also possible that you could have a build-up of lint and debris that could be causing issues. You will see this when you change the pump. Be aware that if you do find debris in the pump area it normally builds up instead of being pumped out because of the weak pump. Read More...
Gene E March 08, 2013 for Model Number WKSE6280B2WW Washer runs through wash and rinse cycles fine but when it goes into final spin it starts to spin momentarily and goes back into rinse mode. It does not refill however and will not spin out the clothes. After resetting to spin only, it will spin dry. I've checked out the pressure switch by removing one end of the hose during spin cycle which causes it to return to rinse cycle. What is the proper way to check the pressure switch? Does this sound like a timer control problem?
1 Answer Gene, The proper way to test the pressure switch is by activating each contact on the swith to ensure that it is reading continuity when activated. The issue sounds like it may be the pressure switch that is causing problem. Read More...
Smitty August 09, 2011 for Model Number WHDRE526E1WW I am having the same issue as above where the larger loads will overflow. How do I replace this part? It seems to be part of the control panel and it seems to be part of the top assembly. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Smitty, you will also need to check or replace the pressure switch hose WH41X365 check and make sure it's not kinked or twisted, if you're comfortable , blow in the end that you remove from the switch and clear any possible debris that could restrict the air flow. To access the water pressure switch :" Remove the four(4) #15 Torx screws from the top of the control panel. The tech data sheet can also be accessed at this time, Locking tabs in the front of the switch trim allow partial forward rotation to support switch trim. Make sure the water faucets are turned Off, and the wash tub is empty, Disconnect and label the wires attached to the switch assembly. and the pressure switch hose. insert a small screwdriver under the switch locking tab, rotate the switch assembly counterclockwise, and lifting the assembly out of the switch bracket to remove. Reverse steps to reassemble, put machine in spin for at least one minute before checking operation of the switch". Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
Scot April 17, 2011 for Model Number wsre5260d1ww Washer fills and run normal on small, medium, large settings, but on ex. large and super it overfills and spills on the floor. Could this be from the switch pressure?
1 Answer Hello Scot. Yes, it sounds like the pressure switch is bad, and will need to be replaced. Make sure the water cuts off when you turn it off, and doesn't continue to come in. If it is good, then you will need to replace the pressure switch. Hope this helps. Read More...
Darrell February 22, 2011 I have a washer that fills, agitates but then fails to drain. One mechanic friend tells me it is likely the "timer", but I don't see that as a "part." Any thoughts?
