For Ge Switch Pressure (Part Number: OEM13238604)

Trung for Model Number WJRE5550K2WW

My washer would work normally till the rinse and spin cycle. It will agitate the bottom part, but the whole basket won't spin (it will spin very lightly both way and stop, instead of rapid spinning as usual). We test the lid switch and it was fine. We tested the water pressure switch and found that one terminal that doesn't change with or without blowing (and hearing a click sound). However, there's only 2 wires attach to the water pressure switch, so is it really faulty? Any other possible cause for this issue? The tub will spin, and can be manually spin by hand, it just wont spin super fast during the spin cycle.

Trung, You will want to remove the front panel of the unit and check to see if there is an error code flashing on the inverter board of the motor. If there is then check the tech sheet to see what the error code represents.

Brett, Where the pressure hose is connected to the tub you will want to make sure that the air dome is not clogged which will be the most likely cause for this issue.

Hello Terrell. You will need to check for a clogged pressure hose or a bad pressure switch on the unit. Thank you.

L. Smith, You will want to pull the front panel off the unit and there will be a light that should be flashing on the motor. Check the light to see how many times it flashes then get the tech sheet from the control panel and see what the number of flashes represent. If the light flashes normal then the pressure switch would likely be the issue.

George, With the unit overfilling an shutting off when the unit power supply is pulled, it would be more likely that either the control board or the water level switch is faulty. You can do a resistance check on the water level switch when the unit is filling to see if it goes from being open to being closed when the water reaches the proper level. If it does but the unit continues to fill then the issue would be the control board. If it does not then the issue will be the pressure switch.

Hello Dock, You will need to use a putty knife to remove the main front panel and observe the green LED on top of the motor, beneath the splash shield. The tech sheet in the control panel will list the meanings of how many flashes. This is a fault code pointing to the circuit that is experiencing an issue.

Jessica for Model Number WHRE5550K2WW

My WHRE5550K2WW washer fills, agitates during the wash cycle and drains just fine, but after the water drains, the pump keeps pumping and it never switches to the rinse cycle. It won't rinse or spin, the whole washer just shuts off after the water drains out and it pump drains for a few minutes. We've replaced the Control board and the Lid switch and it still has the same problem. I've tried several times to reset the motor by unplugging and opening/closing the lid, and it doesn't help. The LED beneath the inverter cover blinks normally, so we tried out the Technical Service Guide tonight and we found one error: Position 2(Soak LED On) - Slow Pump Error. It gives this description: If the pressure switch does not reset (closed/empty tub) within 3 minutes of the control starting the drain pump, the slow pump error will be recorded. Does this mean the Pressure switch needs to be replaced? Thank you.

Hello Jessica. Yes, either the air chamber or pressure hose is clogged on the unit or the pressure switch is bad and will need to be replaced. Check the camber and pressure hose before replacing the pressure switch.
