Robin October 27, 2016 for Model Number JP326W0V2WW Hi. My terminal blocks arrived, but on the package it says, " Do not cut old wires and splice them to the new ones under the cooktop. This would create an unsafe condition." You told me I could splice them. So, can I, or is it unsafe? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Robin. As long as you use ceramic wire nuts DE81-08428A to secure the wires, it should be fine. However, you can completely disassemble the cooktop to run the wires to the switch if you do not want to splice them. Read More...
Robin October 25, 2016 for Model Number JP326W0V2WW Hi. This is a surface stovetop. I need to replace two terminal blocks. In the video you use a regular stove/oven for the demo. On mine the wires go inside a panel on the stovetop that has the huge electrical wire for the stove connected to it. I am handy but am a little nervous about working around that much electricity as i have heard that sometimes some of the current can remain in the wire after the breaker is turned off. Is it 100% safe for me to disconnect the panel with the main power source connected to it? And do you have a video tutorial for surface stovetop terminal block replacement? Lastly, do I need to buy 4 of these and replace them all, or can I order the two that are burnt out by the color of the wire? At $32 a piece plus the two elements I can almost buy a new stove. ;)
1 Answer Hello Robin. You can simply cut the wires from the old part and the new part and splice them back together. You do not have to try removing them. Read More...

Mick Johnston December 19, 2011 for Model Number JP300N2 I am replacing (2) terminal blocks & wiring to control switchs(Both are 8" elements)But there is a ground wire loose that I have no idea where it grounds to? One end ground to burner box assembly.
1 Answer Mick, If you're discussing the ground wire to each burner receptacle you would use a screw and attach the wire to the pre formed opening in the rear area of the the metal receptacle, that attaches to the cooktop. If it's only one ground wire, attach it to any close opening/screw hole on the underside of the cooktop. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Gbeard December 04, 2011 for Model Number JHP63GN2 I believe the terminal block has broken or slipped back or the wiring broke so the burner doesn't work. The burner is good. How do I get the top off so I can get to the burner terminal block & wiring to check it out? Thanks AP2021472 terminal block #
1 Answer Hello Gbeard. There is no need to remove the top assembly. If you disconnect the power and remove the element and drip bowl, you can access and replace the terminal blocks WB17X210 through the hole. Hope this helps. Read More...
