Daniel June 16, 2020 for Model Number ge monogram ZCG3300VWW During down or up, noticed a skipping in operation, took apart, the trunion nut made out of Teflon white plastic, and is now stripped as it will free slide threaded shaft. I see ap-pro parts list a motor trunnion, and also a trunion nut- both parts unavailable on your site. Are these parts typical on any other ge assemblies, as in interchangeable? Motor strong although this is a twelve-inch wide model. Please help
1 Answer Daniel, unfortunately, as these parts have been discontinued and the manufacturer has not listed an approved substitute, we would not be able to guarantee that an alternative would fit properly. Read More...
Adam October 28, 2016 for Model Number ge profile trash compactor My trash compactor makes a loud banging noise when the trash is compacted. The only way to get it to stop is to try to open the door then the ram returns up. When i inspected the drive nut assembly it was not visibly broken but i did notice some metal was shaved off of the drive screws. I cleaned this up and put some grease on the screw hoping it would solve the problem but no such luck. Do you think the nuts are just worn out?
1 Answer Adam, It is very possible that the nuts are just worn but also check the directional switch to make sure that the switch is not damaged or defective. Read More...
