For Ge Spray Arm Water Supply Tube (Part Number: OEM11130168)

Brian, The bracket that would hold the conduit in place would be kind of melted into the cabinet of the unit. The spray arm itself actually screws into the conduit that runs up the back wall of the unit and across the top.

Hello Sharon, As per the manufacturer, The lower spray wash arm can be removed by gently lifting and rotating it counter clockwise. The nut hub can be removed by rotating it counterclockwise. Caution: Use care to avoid breaking the clip on the hub when removing the main conduit from hub. Note: When installing the fine filter, make sure the drain port of the filter is engaged with the drain for the fine filter. The main conduit supplies water to the middle and upper spray wash arms. Removal and Replacement: 1. Pull upper rack all the way out. 2. Push the tab on the outer slide cap in and remove the slide cap. 3. Remove the upper rack. 4. Release the bottom conduit tab. 5. Release 2 center conduit tabs and remove the main conduit.

Dishwasher not cleaning well. Upon investigation middle wash arm is not spinning at all. Water fill level seems ok. Sump is clean , also Did check and holes in wash arm are clean. Arm seams really wobbly. Diagram shows a bearing but mine seams like only a screw and washer and not really tight. Also where the middle rack seats on the supply tube for water to middle and upper arm should there be some type of o ring to get a tight seal? Any help is appreciated!

1 Answer

Dan, With the spray arm being wobbly then it sounds like there may be an issue with the hub that the spray arm screws to. The hub part number is WD12X10353 and the spray arm spins on the hub as there are no bearings for the spray arm. There is also not a ring at the back of the tube to get a tight seal to the supply tube. The spray arm tube will just slide over the supply tube.

Dave, have you removed the filter screen WD22X10029,WD12X10109 sump cover and filter WD22X10077, and checked for debris, or build up in the assemblies ? If these are clogged with debris or deposits, this will reduce the amount of water to the upper spray arms, and manifold tube. If all's OK, you'll need to rmove the wash motor assembly and check the impeller assembly WD19X10038, for damaged vanes,

Concerning GE Model PDW9980L00SS Dishwasher, I am missing the o-ring for part AP3710053 Upper Wash Arm Water Supply Tube, so understand from a previous question that I need to order the entire part to get this. Here are my addition questions: 1. There is a hole next to the outlet for the water supply tube. Is there a screw that goes into the back of the dishwasher that holds this water supply tube in place? This is next to where the tube connects to the upper rack. If so, does this come with the supply tube? 2. How do you install the supply tube? I don't have a manual that shows how this is removed. Would it be helpful to have a manual for this unit? Thanks!

1 Answer

Hi Charles. Yes you can only recieve the O-ring by replacing the manifold. It is exclusively used on your models (plus the similar models). It is a specific (unknown) size. The upper wash arm supply tube part # WD12X10113. Thank You.

Hi Rick. Are you sure that there are no debris in the jet hole ends of the upper wash arm blocking water flow? If so use a pick tool to remove them while flushing out under the sink. Make sure you check the wash arm also turns effortlessly. Look at how the middle wash arm contacts the rear water manifold part # WD12X10057 firmly so there are no internal leaks not allowing the water to reach the top wash arm. You can UN clasp and remove the whole water manifold assy. and flush out w/ a hose. It will need to be removed in order to use a shop vac. and towels to clean the unit pump /sump area. Remove all racks, wash arms and remove the top filter of the motor. Then inspect and clean all parts to see if they need replaced. Make sure the impeller part # WD19X10038 is not broken along with the chopper blade. Thank You.
