Oldhandyguy December 18, 2022 for Model Number LG DLG2102W Drum turns more slowly than it should and will not turn if there is a full load of wet laundry in it. The dryer does not make any unusual noises. Which parts should I replace? Just the belt? Or should I also replace the Idle Assembly and/or Drum Rollers? Thanks.
1 Answer OldHandyGuy, I would check the idler pulley, belt, and rollers for wear and/or damage. Then replace as needed, make sure the belt is routed correctly on the pulleys. Read More...

2 Answers John, As in most cases, you'll have a louder operating noise level from a half full container than you would with a totally full container. There are several possibilities, the noise could be an expansion rattle from the heater or the internal vent system. When the noise is present, place your hands on various areas of the cabinet. Check the belt and the drive pulley for debris and cracks or missing treads from the belt surface. Check the rollers and idler pulley for the same, Clean and lube the shafts and rollers as necessary to help reduce the possibility of a dry, noisy, suspension system that's transferring the noise to the cabiner and base.
