This OEM replacement part is a washer door assembly. The washer door assembly consists of the main components that make up the front door of the washer. Over time, a washer door can become inoperable due to excessive wear and tear. If the washer door is no longer shutting or opening properly or is damaged to the point of inoperability, it will need to be replaced. To replace the washer door, start by making sure the washer is unplugged. Once it has been powered off, proceed to open the door. Locate the screws that attach the hinges to the door. Unthread the screws and lift the door off from its hinges. Set the old door to the side and proceed to place the new door on its hinges. Fasten the screws that secure it. Once secured, open and close the new door to make sure it is functioning properly. This authentic OEM part is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is compatible with LG brand washers.

Dave, Based on the manufacturers site the door assembly has not been redesigned and has the same part number as the original part. The part number for the door assembly is 3581ER1008Z.

Hello Cindy, this door assembly 3581ER1008Z is the only way the manufacturer supplies the door. You cannot get just the glass. Usually this is because of the assembly process. The way it's put together at the factory may not make it possible for the individual to get it back together properly without a machine or special tools. Thanks!

Hi, The door seems to be comprised of a clear plastic outer window, a round door frame assembly, and a large inner glass window. On my washer door, the clear plastic outer window is cracked. I don't know how it cracked, the washer is housed and babied in its own little room. Any ideas? The more important question: is the clear plastic outer window available as a replacement part or do I have to purchase the entire door assembly? Thanks, Richard P.

Hello Richard, From the research I have done, the door glass and plastic are not available without ordering the door as an assembly 3581ER0001P.

Hi. Yes the inner door crack will allow the leak if the door boot seal part # 3581ER1008Z does not seal against the door perfectly. It will leave water traces for show if this is where the leak is from. If you have a lower cover door for the pump, then make sure the pump is not clogged. Release the tubing on the back side of the cover into a bucket. Once all water is drained then you remove the pump cover and clean the catch and pump impeller area so it drains correctly. If the pump impeller is loose on the shaft then replace the pump part # 4681EA2001T. Thank you.

Hi. The whole door assy. part # 3581ER1008Z is the only way you can replace the inner door cover crack. Remove the back panel and see if the drain hose part # 5215ER2002G has a pinhole leak. Look at the door boot part # 4986ER0004F inside and at the 6:00 position to see if it has a rip in it as well. Thank You.

Water leaks when the machine is on rinse. Noticed that one of the plastic parts inside the door hinge area was cracked. Is there any other reason why water leaks or is this the problem? If so, what is the part number for them as I can't find them. Also, my dryer that goes with this washer model does not heat as quick as when it was new. Can you tell me what I need to do to fix it? It takes a lot more time to dry than normal. Thank you for your time.

Juan, This may be the part you're looking for 3212ER1016A based on your post information. We wouldn't expect a major leak, so you may want to consider checking or replacing the water level switch 6601ER1006E and air dome hose 5214FR4125N this could allow the washer to overfill and leak, in the rinse cycle. As for the dryer, first thing to do is disconnect the exhaust vent pipe and check and clean all the lint and debris from the inside of the pipe, and check the vent hood as well. Thanks
