1 Answer Hello Wally. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter 5318EL3001A and make sure it is getting hot enough to light the gas. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Trevis January 21, 2012 for Model Number LG dlg5988s I have replaced the igniter and reset the hi limit, started the dryer and see the igniter glowing then the gas valve opens and ignites. The dryer runs for about a minute then the flame goes out and never relights, what should be my next step?
1 Answer Hello Trevis! It sounds as if the coils are going out on the dryer. On your model the manufacture only offers the coils with the valve, part number 5221EL2002A. Hope this helps, thanks! Read More...

John T May 28, 2011 for Model Number DLG5966W What is the ohms of the igniter p/n 5318EL3001A for this dryer?
1 Answer Hello John! We do not have the ohm reading listed for this igniter. The way to tell if it's bad or not is to unplug the connector, and with the dryer running see if it's got 120 volts going to it. If it does and the ignitor isn't glowing red then it's bad. If it doesn't have voltage to it then some other part that feeds it voltage is the problem. Hope this helps! Read More...
