Christian June 30, 2022 for Model Number Kenmore Elite Washer - pump filter 383EER2001A My washer was not leaking but removed the filter to clean it out proactively. When I put it back in, it began to leak. Ordered a new filter to give it a shot and it still leaks. Again, did not leak before. Only started leaking once I removed the filter to clean it out. When I tighten the filter, it does not lock in place. You can create a tight fit but can keep rotating it past that point where it loosens again. Any help is appreciated.

The plug mentioned is the only part that would keep water from coming through the hose as the hose should seat snugly onto the plug. Brittany January 08, 2019 So, should there be a filter that goes in the filter assembly? We bought our LG wm2010cw second hand from some people who were moving, so all we've ever had is just that black part that screws in on the bottom in front. I wonder is something kissing though because when we do drain it from there for whatever reason, it STINKS horribly almost like sewage. Also, no matter what we do our clothes always seem to smell. We currently have it torn apart because the dispenser hose has a hole and we've ordered another and are waiting on it to come, and the old one was absolutely GROSS and filled with nasty gunk, do we were wondering if maybe we are missing and actual filter for the water somewhere. Thanks!
1 Answer Brittany, There is no filter that is the catch so no coins or screws etc go into the drain pump. If it has an odor you can use affresh or vinegar with no clothes and run the clean cycle. Read More...

Dennis July 07, 2016 for Model Number WM2010CW My machine is leaking from the drain filter and is not sending the water out the hose to drain. When I pull the filter water comes gushing out. I have blown air from the hose through to the open area where the filter goes. I have checked, physically, the hoses from the filter area and all are not cracked or have any damage.
