Ashley October 17, 2017 LG dishwasher HE code. I have already replaced the heater. Once the heating element was replaced it worked for a week and now is throwing the HE code again. Any idea what would cause the heating element to burn out?
1 Answer Hello Ashley. You will need to make sure the unit has water in it. If so, then replace the board on the unit. It could be the issue for the code. Thanks. Read More...
Vishwasail July 19, 2017 for Model Number LDS5811ST Replaced heating element with new one from Sears Parts and it was found open again, dishes not drying properly. Worked properly for 4 months and started giving same problem. Checked and found heater element has failed again. What else could be the problem to lead to repeated failure of element?
1 Answer Hello Vishwasail, Failure of the part can be attributed to an excessive current flow, a weak man-made part, or a stuck thermostat in the heater assembly 5301DD1001G. Read More...
Jack June 22, 2017 for Model Number LDS4050WW HE code, dishes still wet after cycle is finished. Heating element ohms good, not open, thermistor test good as well. Put 120 volts to heater for a short time and it was getting hot. Measured voltage at the heater during operation and it never dropped below 122V during the wash cycle but water temp never went above 31°C using diagnostic test read out. Manual says it should be 60°C. Will a heater only work for a short period of time then fail? Also changed filter to make sure it wasn't starving the sump and cleaned the float assembly for proper water level.
1 Answer Hello Jack, For a proper diagnosis we would please need you to verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag since it will not come up for us as a valid model number. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Curtis June 10, 2017 for Model Number LDF7561ST Good day I recently got an HE code on my dishwasher. I removed heating element tested it and it has 12ohms which is right where its suppose to be. Thermistor on the heating element registera at 12000. What is the HE code. Need to get this fixed asap
1 Answer Curtis, The HE is a heating error and if the heater and thermistor check ok then check wiring between them and the control board and if the wiring is ok then the control board would be the issue. Read More...
Doug June 08, 2017 for Model Number LDS4821ST I replaced a faulty heater element (5301DD1001A) in my LG dishwasher. The replacement part is a different number (5301DD1001G). The new part leaks around the seal. I tried tightening it repeatedly and it didn't help. I pulled it out and compared the two. The seal on the old one has a flange that seals on the outside of the dishwasher. The new one does not. Do I have a faulty part? Any pictures I look up show the flange portion of the gasket. Thanks
1 Answer Doug, If there is not a flange then this would be a faulty part and would recommend getting a different one. Read More...
Curtis May 31, 2017 my lg dishwasher is a 2014, d1472tb. 1 Answer Hello Curtis. You need to check and see if the heater assembly is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. HE is a heat error code. Read More...
James May 28, 2017 for Model Number LDS5540ST My dishwasher is throwing two codes an FE most often and a HE sometimes. It seems like the times it throws the codes that no water is in the unit. I can start and stop it until I see water spraying from the arms when I open it and it will run fine but more often than not now it won't.
1 Answer James, The FE error code is a indicator that there is a problem with the inlet valve or the control board. Error HE would be a heat circuit error and with having both issues would most likely be a faulty control board. You can test to see if the valve is getting 120 vac to it and if it not then the control board is faulty and if there is 120 vac then the issue will be a faulty water valve. Read More...
Mon April 10, 2017 for Model Number LDF6810BB My LG dishwasher is 7 years old and has been running perfect until I had a recent inspection to sell my condo. Nothing was found wrong by the inspector, but soon after I kept getting a HE error code after it failed to heat/dry and water pooled at the end of the cycle. No water leaked unto the ground, but you have to remove the water by hand. I researched it and had my dad replace the heating element. However, it still has the same errror code and same problem. What can it be?
1 Answer Mon, The HE error is a heating error and would most likely be an issue with the control board of the unit. Read More...
James K March 27, 2017 I have a 4 year old LG dishwasher. It has started throwing a HE code and once in a while an FE code. At the cycle start I am finding it will fill then drain. I will open it up after 15 minutes and it will be dry. It throws the code when the cycle starts like this. I end up having to turn on and off the machine until I see water spraying from the arms and then it will complete the cycle. What is going on with this thing?
1 Answer Hello James. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
